This is really great! Many years ago I built my own motorcycle from parts. It took me, because of issues with finance and availability of some parts about two-years. But this is incredible! This builder is a true engineer adept in vocations normally outside of building the vehicle. I have some questions but for the most part I’m just in awe of this video, Great job!
This guy is probably a local craftsman, building these one off tractors for sale. Quit hating him because he's talented, capable and has a well equipped shop.
I am actually jealous. Man if i had time and such a Workshop.... But lets not talk about how he stalled the drill press with that sheet metal drill. i hope for him that its stainless steel or else i wish he gets a better drill press

I don't know what worse someone welding in sandals or someone using a chain saw wearing sandals I worked for a guy doing tree work he would only wear sandals needless to I quit that job after only a couple of days lol
This man continues to amaze me with his ingenuity. No ' Precision ' but highly effective. So wish my Country would be this lenient in Traffic Laws. Sometimes to be ' Poor ' is a hundred times better off than our so called ' First World ' Stinking place.
In Korea they had these 2 wheel tractors that were used in the rice paddies in place of the historically used water buffalo's.....these 2 wheel tractors had a large headlight for night farming and they had an attaching trailer where the owner could set on a seat instead of walking behind them...The Koreans could load up their whole families and go to town so the farmers used these as their transportation also...our nickname for them was the "One Eyed Buffalo"....very efficient and multi purpose! Your build would be a ringer if it had one headlight...then you could nickname it the "One Eyed Buffalo"....great build!

“Some” The rest of the stuff came off the shelf components, with a knowledge of what fits what. For me as an engineer, I would lose a large amount of time researching components for compatibility, fitment and specifications. The fabrication of the framework is easy.

I love these things. They're everywhere in rural South East Asia and are really practical for the farmers. This would make a great project for high school students to make as well. I don't think that's galvanized you can see the galvanizing separate if you don't clean it off. it turns white and black and flakes up. I've welded quite a bit of galvanized steel
@Quirin -Appears to be a centrifugal clutch with with steel dogs, the ratio changing as demand, load and rpm fluctuates. Cushman and other popular scooters used more than one type, some belts, with others chain drive. Flogging them endlessly and they lasted countless years, with kids putting them through every imaginable abuse, like kids are prone to do. ;
Really nice rig. I really enjoyed the video and build. . I only see 2 problems. I think it's going to be too high geared when loaded for a hill of any size. Then the rear suspension looks max travel already before any load. But both of those things can be worked out pretty easy if they give you problems. Thanks for showing this great content!

I totally dig it. However it needs something to keep the feet on. A big bump going fast and a foot slips off and hits the road, and bang its under the rear axle and broken. Weld a small barrier to protect feet.

There are plenty of kits you can buy shipped to you. It'd still be a better idea to form a kit yourself. Not hard to source parts, just keep track of dimensions.
If this were 1980 that statement would carry some merit. But with the internet, youtube, ebay and amazon by the end on the day you could know how to do this and have everything on order. I do stuff like this all the time. Good luck buddy.
True They are used in rice patties to cultivate the fields. They also include a trailer for hauling people and goods around the community. I live in the Philippines and see them in different areas of the country. The tractor is like rototiller used in a garden to cultivate the soil. The part I do not like about them is when you have to turn a corner, you have to jump off of the tractor and swing the front wheels into the direction you have to turn. A steering wheel is so much nicer to operate.
-Keep the USA shut down for a few years and we will ALL need one, or pay the guy that does have one, to Uber/Lyft us and our goods for sale, to wherever street market we need to sit at each day, selling our yard grown produce, or other goods;)
Some foot rest so you dont have to hold your feet up and just relax them in a holder or something and some fenders so your dont throw mud and dirt on your face and thats awesome. Great job

Really cool but that hinge pin design is going to wear out and be deadly. Also, I'd put a nice floor of some kind so you foot can't slip down and break your leg at best.

When welding galvanized steel, a respirator is required so that the zinc oxide fumes from the galvanizing are not inhaled.

Notice that he had a mask on while welding it? Not the mask he needed but he was aware of the risk so its on him.

There are plenty of kits you can buy shipped to you. It'd still be a better idea to form a kit yourself. Not hard to source parts, just keep track of dimensions.
If this were 1980 that statement would carry some merit. But with the internet, youtube, ebay and amazon by the end on the day you could know how to do this and have everything on order. I do stuff like this all the time. Good luck buddy.

These are sold by the millions in Asia . They're Asia's answer to the multipurpose farm tractor .
True They are used in rice patties to cultivate the fields. They also include a trailer for hauling people and goods around the community. I live in the Philippines and see them in different areas of the country. The tractor is like rototiller used in a garden to cultivate the soil. The part I do not like about them is when you have to turn a corner, you have to jump off of the tractor and swing the front wheels into the direction you have to turn. A steering wheel is so much nicer to operate.
-Keep the USA shut down for a few years and we will ALL need one, or pay the guy that does have one, to Uber/Lyft us and our goods for sale, to wherever street market we need to sit at each day, selling our yard grown produce, or other goods;)

Really cool but that hinge pin design is going to wear out and be deadly. Also, I'd put a nice floor of some kind so you foot can't slip down and break your leg at best.
