Great video, fantastic in fact lol. I bought this set too, still haven't got round to the French yet but made a good start with the British. Padded them out with some command groups so they could all have colours, look much nicer for it
Good video. I’m getting into Black Powder but using American Civil War Miniatures sets from Perry. Quality stuff all around, and the rule book does not seem overwhelming.
I bought the "Hermanos de Sangre" box, Bolt Action's starter in Spanish... With a Spanish flag on the box. When I opened it, the book was in French... It was a French manual, not Spanish cover... The store where I bought it (Atlántica Juegos) in Madrid, did an exchange for me, giving me a Spanish book. They still have the French one, one year later... hope they find someone willing to buy it. I bought the Waterloo bundle a month ago (In their web page). It was supposed to have The Waterloo box, and reinforcements for both sides. There was no Waterloo box, there was a British Army boxInstead. The French were only a bunch of infantrymen (a box of soldiers), and a metalic cannon...
I hope you contacted them and got it sorted out. We got the rule book fiasco sorted out and they seemed pretty interested to hear it. Unfortunately, most native English speakers can't tell the difference between Spanish and Italian. But, to mess up a big order like that...that's a big FUBAR.
@@jvcpaints Yes, thanks to my friendly store in Spain, I have a Bolt Action manual in Spanish. The French copy is still in the shop, to be sold (if anyone wishes to buy it in French). WG is not the only British Company to send items in other unexpected languages. GW has sent codex to its stores in Spain in Italian (I remember Drukari Codex), as well as other stuff in Italian.
I thought so too, but my Italian mate, as well as the Bolt Action Italy pages on the web, knew it wasn't and went a little mental. There were a few French tables in the appendices in the back too. Either way, Warlord sent out a new copy and the original FUBAR copy is now a bit of a collector's item.
No it is not the same cover. Spanish and Italian are very different. It is like saying that German and English are ... GW also has this kind of issues. They've sent Italian Codexes to Spanish stores, and they may have done the same thing sending Spanish books (Awfully translated, btw), to Italy.
I've got the French done and about a Battalion of the British done. I stalled out on the British Command. :( I have gotten side tracked by my current Bolt Action project of doing a Fallschirmjager army and a few units of resistance guys for a friend. I still have 30 Gauls from the Hail Caesar box to get through too.
That is one big box of naps. That is true- there are not that many unboxings of this sort of stuff. Thanks for sharing. :) In the end I'm glad that the rulebook works I guess. :) Cheers, Trist.
I got the green mat at Yodobashi Camera in Yokohama. It was about 4,000 yen. It was in the model Railroad section. WARNING! The static grass falls off quite a bit after each use, so it is necessary to clean up unless you want static grass everywhere. I'm hoping to upgrade my mat soon, but I've been spending my money on figures instead. lol....and a 1/48 scale tank museum. :) As for the paint, I use Americana acrylic paint from Cainz Home hardware store. If you're in a big city in Japan, you probably won't find a Cainz. However, craft stores for like knitting and needle point and shit like that also sell this paint. It's real cheap too, like 190 yen for 2 oz (60 ml). You can get the army painter paints in Akihabara in Tokyo at like Arrows or Volks, but it ain't cheap.
excellent! I will be acquiring this set today so col to see whats in it!
I bought my Band of Brothers box, Spanish edition, and the book came in French. Fortunatelly, my friendly store, changed the book for a Spanish one.
My mate and I got it straightened out quickly enough. Warlord's customer service was really good.

Thanks for the nice words. Yeah, I've been looking at the commands out there for these guys. I think the flags and all that really make the unit.

This is a great set, I bought at least two if not three. :) Greta vid Jay. :)

Very very nice unboxing and review
Cool unboxing, Unlucky with the rulebook.
I realized I said 'Fantastic' about 100 times. lol. Yeah the book is a collector's item now. haha
Spanish and Italian are very similar so that is possibly the correct cover

Thanks for the comment. We had a good laugh about the book at the club.
I know why the bolt action rules arrived so slowly: because the trains didnt arrive on time
Musta been imported from France then.
where do you get the paint and the green mat?

Всем привет, из России! Подскажите пожалуйста, какого материала полотно у вас на заднем фоне?
It's laminated plywood and a green bath towel. Thanks for watching!
@@jvcpaints , спасибо. Классный обзор и набор!! Жалко в России такого не купишь(
@@Никита-п8т5в It's a pretty good set. What figures do you use to play? Zvezda 1/72?
@@jvcpaints Да, конечно. Но я имею ввиду, что Звезда давно не выпускает тематические, "крупные" наборы.
