Ludovic is keeping me in top 20 arena, people don't even want to attack me now and if they do they often donate points. I think he's an easy replace for hewyn or damian to counter all the burst spam.
I need 1 more copy to s+ him and he's the only reason I progressed decently quickly after playing for a few weeks. Still don't have a smokey so I made the right choice going with him with almost all my gems.

I just wanted to add some info that* may or may not come in handy in your conclusion to Talene. I have 2 accounts that neither of which were going to make or break my account if I took the 1 free copy of Talene so I scooped her up on both, and my accounts are at 2 different stages of progression with 1 being more in the Mid-Game Phase progression wise and I have enough Tanks/Supports that could play around with DPS. Talene at 1 copy is definitely a solid unit that can easily replace certain DPS for different fights(Mainly Dream Realm) if said DPS isn't fully built(M+/S+). So in my opinion if you like her play style/design she is worth grabbing and slowly building her up if you're somewhere in the Mid-Game Phase. However on my account that is in the Late-Game Phase it has similar issues that early game does but slightly different, the difference being instead of support not being good enough to keep her alive she's too situational and for those situations a Late-Game account just has better options for DPS assuming you've gotten 1 of the 3-4 Meta Archer DPS at M+/S+. It's not because heals aren't good enough, but that the mobs hit too hard and she's too squishy in most cases that there isn't an opportunity to heal her. F.Y.I. Both my accounts are 100% F2P.
I think a good support for Talene is Smokey. My Smokey is barely built up at all and can keep Talene in the fight for a long time, as long as your frontline holds up well.
@Volkin: Could you make a video and/or talk to the developers about Dura's Trials, please? That game mode is a cool idea and was fun at first, but become stale, boring and even seems bugged from ca. stage 18 onwards. Even though I'm copying the recommended formations and tried 20+ times, I just can't defeat certain stages, even though my resonance level is higher and my ascensions are equal to or higher than the recommended teams from other players. That simply just doesn't make any sense and seems like it's either bugged or that they made the later stages harder on purpose which would be just unfair. There's also a stage 24 that I don't even have the slightest chance with a full Supreme+ +10 team with different artifacts and formations. =/ Like, what's the expectation here - +20 Paragon heroes!? ^^
I have 30 supreme+ and 5 paragon 1 units but i see myself always using ludo in afk pushing, GB tower, and also tried DR. I also have my def in arena with him and so far, even against vip 17 players, my team is able to survive! like almost always everyone survives
i call cap. ludo sucks in afk stages, and ludo in arena is basically a free win there literally is no reason to use ludo over hewynn, unless you are f2p and/or in a weak server
I want to add that he is a good counter to the Silvina/Vala team in PvP with his stun when they go to the backlane. And I may be wrong but I think his flower field stays when he is banished by a Rienier
We needed a better graveborn healer for the tower. I push all towers as far as I can go every time. Niru wants to be a tank and dies before doing his job. Support the group, not face tank the floor.
I'm hoping next season the season ability will convert some healing either to dmg or shields so he gets an indirect buff because god forbid they ever indirectly buff a character in a gacha game

it would change everything(heh), because most of the people who are saving don't have the core eiro comp m+ to s+ and many of a ranks that need s+ like odie korin and marliee aren't even m+. The people that would be ahead have all the core units to s+(mainly whales and mid spenders). f2ps and low spenders would be in an even worse spot because they won't have a team around the new op unit.
Smokey is easily interrupted and sustain is lost until his next ultimate, but not for Ludovic. If I see in arena Smokey I just drop a Temesia and Smokey's sustain vanished. Thoran protecting Ludovic with Rowan keeps my team up in full all day long. Am I the only one who feels Ludovic's supreme+ skill is almost useless.
I'm just surprised you're not investing in Ludovic considering his synergy with Talene (your fave unit) is so insane 😅😅 I definitely understand your reasoning of "if a unit is not going to push me to the next bracket (top 5) then no need to pull" but there's also flaw in the sense that whatever new OP unit that "would" push you to top5....every other top 20 ranker would pull as well, so you're never gaining relative advantage. Plus if you're not mega kraken ur never breaking top5 regardless of how "well" you manage your resources. I believe your reasoning makes more sense if you're hoarding diamonds to "preserve" your top20 rank. ie. if all other top20 ranker pulls a unit and you don't, then you'll be squeezed out of ur current bracket. Again i'm not sure if that is a healthy sustainable mentality to play a game 🤔🤔

Ludovic is in such a weird spot where we have so few S rank graveborn characters so most people are better off waiting since they already have two or three maxxed graveborn s-ranks

Got him at s+, very usable in burst anti burst team. Not telling him to pull but he got many uses and didn't regret getting him.

There are a few AFK levels I could not have cleared without one copy of him.

AFK pushing maybe pretty useful up to 1000 for Dura Trials, though I think they said it wouldn't be like that next time.

smokey is really not an arena unit
he's best used with talene(who requires s+ to be useable) and decent with viperon and slvina.
