Sometimes, when aircraft get destroyed, they drop chaff. It's happened to me a few times when I've tested it again. I'm not sure why; maybe it's a bug or something. It only seems to occur with one particular aircraft.

Still can't understand x51 behaviour, says missile destroyed, but ship got damaged
The shrapnel from the missile exploding too close to the ship, even if the AA destroyed it
People believe MW has some mechanism like shrapnel, but i personally believe it's more like sync delay.
To your point of view, you've destroyed the missile. But to the server pov, that missile still hitting your ship, because the internet connection is not fast enough to upload that interception scene. As we all know, blocking missile in this game is so quick.
To prove this, try to play offline mode where all AA perfomance doesn't get nerfed by internet connection, because you don't have to sync to the server. Thus, AA in offline mode always perform better and deadlier than in the online mode.
@@BangSuRo 100% agree, I personally don't believe this game have shrapnel mechanism, it's all about the connectivity.
