yeah you can come back really quick. I played for several months / couple thousand plays in 2012, then quit until 2020, and I could redo my old scores after just 3 to 4 days. Its amazing how your muscles and brain remember all of that.

I stopped playing but I think my top play of 201, I retried with better combo lower acc for 210pp, was set at around 127k on Last Goodbye. Y'all can do it, I stopped playing but the new generation of osu!players really something else lol.
It makes me sad to remember that some day, all the osu! streamers and youtubers are gonna leave the game or simply get bored of it, and dedicate their channels to other things or stop uploading content, just started previous year, but still I enjoyed osu! videos, and i know at some point they will want to change their content, even I would get bored of uploading the same thing for years, but I feel that I was very late to osu!, and now it will not be long for the others osu! content creators to leave it too.
If you still enjoy osu! content but are scared of current osu! creators leaving, why don't you be the one to start a new wave of osu! content? That way it'll definitely not grow "old" for however long you're interested in the game

Yeah why not create a new one. Best example is Cookiezie which inspires other player to be better and now we have whitecat. In the end the game will still be alive if there are fan base. The only difference is the old one retired then replace with new content creator.

I left and returned surprisingly around the same time (and am around the same rank), and tokaku you're being way too hard on yourself. A couple of days of farming don't match up to the amount of fluke/lucky scores you build up over a long time, you still have good aim, muscle memory, reading, etc. Yes 3 digit rank is insane right now and it's only gonna go up from here, but you're pitting yourself against impossible standards. You really can't expect to play ar11 but you're doing it anyway and succeeding somehow, and you've still got the finger technique for streaming if not the stamina. Take it from overrated trash like myself who can barely play ar10.3 or bpm>200 yet is #4k right now at like 8500 pp

I'm really feeling this video lmao. I've basically stopped playing for 5 years and my top play is 269pp, I'm rank 50k and I REALLY struggle with fcing barely 5* maps. It's so frustrating losing basically all your skills, not being able to do what you once did. Also absolutely not deserving the rank you're at lol
after you discover what an average player at your rank is like you will instantly feel underranked (unless your top plays are sotarks fiery and similar stuff)
I never play taiko and I literally have only played one ranked taiko map and when I replayed it I dropped EIGHT MILLION RANKS. I mean, I replayed it again and I gained eight million ranks too but. That jump made me cackle...
I think I’m blind as I didn’t see you seem to have already passed that wall. Took me 700ish playcount to pass my first 3 star and 2000ish to pass my first 4 star so it is mainly practice. Considering I now have 17.3k playcount and people around me in rank have on average about 10-20k (143k rank), there’s time for you to improve (and I even consider myself a bit over ranked lol). IIRC my highest pass upon hitting 6 digit (316pp at the time) was 3.04* so I’d say given the information I know that you’re doing pretty well. There are going to be walls further ahead but all they take to pass is perseverance and targeted practice. If you can do jumps decently well the insane (Nowa’s Eternal Silence) on Faded might be an easier 4* pass. Since almost all of the map is 2-3*, I even got an A rank my first time passing.
you could either play offline/logged out, or use the McOsu client on steam instead. private servers aren't really a good idea if all you want to do is practice

I left 8 years ago, having about 12k pp after all pp updates which got me to rank 299 (was 2 digit when I left)
I am playing again for 2 months and have about 8k play count now and managed to get to 5100pp

Maybe I am wrong, but rank 299 is more than 12k right now? I am not completely sure how PP was calculated back then, maybe it increased for me because of several reworks on the system. Check the rank curve for yourself.

@@mol_old Hab ich ja auch nicht gesagt. Lies bitte nochmal. Nach allen PP-Updates war der account bei 12,5k-ish, da rank 299 bis vor 2,5 Monaten, als ich ihn recovered habe. Ich hoffe dir ist bewusst, dass PP damals anders funktioniert hat und das nach damaligen Berechnungen 9,5-10k gewesen sein werden. Du kannst mir auch gerne ingame schreiben, wenn du irgendwas wissen willst.
Und doch, ich bin vollkommen berechtigt auf dem Account, nach Rücksprache mit dem Support haben sie ihn für mich reaktiviert, mir auf Wunsch einen Reset gegeben und alles läuft wie es soll.

I've basically stopped playing for 5 years and my top play is 269pp, I'm rank 50k and I REALLY struggle with fcing barely 5* maps. It's so frustrating losing basically all your skills, not being able to do what you once did. Also absolutely not deserving the rank you're at lol
after you discover what an average player at your rank is like you will instantly feel underranked (unless your top plays are sotarks fiery and similar stuff)

I think I’m blind as I didn’t see you seem to have already passed that wall. Took me 700ish playcount to pass my first 3 star and 2000ish to pass my first 4 star so it is mainly practice.
Considering I now have 17.3k playcount and people around me in rank have on average about 10-20k (143k rank), there’s time for you to improve (and I even consider myself a bit over ranked lol). IIRC my highest pass upon hitting 6 digit (316pp at the time) was 3.04* so I’d say given the information I know that you’re doing pretty well.
There are going to be walls further ahead but all they take to pass is perseverance and targeted practice. If you can do jumps decently well the insane (Nowa’s Eternal Silence) on Faded might be an easier 4* pass. Since almost all of the map is 2-3*, I even got an A rank my first time passing.

How do you get a private server? I always wanted to play maps that help me improve but I don't want to absolutely destroy my acc lol
you could either play offline/logged out, or use the McOsu client on steam instead. private servers aren't really a good idea if all you want to do is practice

Wacom is the most expensive graphic tablet brand, with the "cheaper" ones being around 300 USD. I own a Gaomon tablet, a brand much cheaper, because I don't have that amount of money
