Dear Barbara, I had so much fun and it was pure joy to visit you in Vienna. Such a beautiful and gorgeous city … wonderful. And spending some hours talking and laughing with you was amazing. I am thankful you took the time for me. 🥰 Watching „honey_one“ in your hands handled with love and getting decorated is such a pleasure. 🥰 Sending a big and warm hug! 🤗
I laughed as soon as you said," I have Plans". I love the way you embellish your precious memorabilia. Love this colour scheme.40 years ago I spent some time in the Middle East, so now think it is time to dig out those photos and preserve them in a journal. As always thank you for the inspiration.
Please milk that vacation for every moment you loved! Every page is a snapshot of a moment in your life. All those moments make up your life. When you look back at it, it will tell a beautiful piece of your story.
Hi Barbara. Thank you for another beautiful page design. What a great way to preserve a memory of a visit, using their brochure of where you went. More often than not, my brochures inevitably end up in the trash a short time after visits, but you have inspired me to put them to good use. What a thrill it must have been, to get to vacation in Egypt. Very cool! I especially loved how you incorporated the coin dangles that your husband found for you. Beautiful pocket page! Enjoy your day!
I just returned from a 14 day road trip across the southern states of the USA from east coast to west coast. I collected items and tons of photos. Spent the weekend with a friend junk journaller in Arizona and we hit the thrift stores also. 🥰
Morning Barbara, love, love your "Egyptian" page. I am soooo interested in the history of Egypt, especially the Ancients. Their culture and way of life is soooo very interesting. Thank you for a very lovely and satisfying snack, am very satisfied, and so am going to rush into my Art Room and CREATE!!!!!! You always inspire and encourage me and I LOVE it. Enjoy your Sunday, hope you are safe and well, and, as always, Blessings and hugs from Cape Town. Diana
I always print pictures in black and white, and then sand them with sandpaper. It's a super effect. As usual, your project is beautiful and inspiring. THANKS
Wow such a dainty memory captured! I love whenever you document things! You portray it like magic in your journal! You have inspired me to the fullest to try something similar! 😊🌻
Very pretty! Lots of color today-fun! I love how you crumbled and sanded, definitely something I would do! This is such a great way to save memories!!! 🥰
I kind of chuckled when you started distressing your flyer. Especially when you made the small tears. That’s what my bits and bobs always look like when I come home from a trip and I empty my purse. Lol. Loved it. It also made me realize that when I get home, I should celebrate my crumpled ephemera. I absolutely love this Journal. I love all the uneven pages. Different sizes and kinds of papers sewn together. Oh and I almost forgot…. I don’t have my circle punches. They’re still in storage with all my other treasures. But I do have this envelope making board. I love the shape it makes and it will keep me happy until the day I get back into my tiny house and I can unpack. Lol. Thanks for sharing Egypt with us!♥️♥️♥️
Barbara, these colors are magnificent!! You always surprise me with your creative ideas. I'm inspired!! So beautiful. Thanks for another cool journal idea. I always enjoy these snack bits. Blessings, Carol Schneider
This is much more than a snack. When I think of this series, I think of Soul Food. See definition below. This series “celebrates your ingenuity and skill.” As always, I love this spread! SOUL FOOD: the foods and techniques associated with the African American cuisine of the United States. The term celebrated the ingenuity and skill of cooks who were able to form a distinctive cuisine despite limited means.
Good evening 👋😊 49 dragonflies 🌹 this is one of my favorite handmade journal love your page and that's so cool your husband from matching charms from the picture congrats 🎉 stay safe and be careful 🙏✍️🖌️🎨💌🌹👋 enjoy your week ahead too 👍🦄💌
Another fantastically inspiring episode👌! Loved the picture of the beautiful Oriental lamps and your additions of the pretty lace and little journal hidden away in the pocket. So many creative ideas to perfectly preserve your treasured memories of your Egyptian vacation. Thank you for sharing your experiences! So happy you were able to go and have such a good time. 💖
Ah my favourite morning munchies! Gorgeous lampshade😍😍😍. Lol I use my punch board for making pretty corners on my tags🙊. I thoroughly approve of beating up the leaflet😄. Lovely page, the turquoise is GORGEOUS 😍. Oh how cool meeting online friends for shopping and coffee. Tfs and have a great week 💖💖
Really beautiful dear 😍😍 the easiest way to grunge a new looking paper is covering it with tea bag paper it makes look so vintage without covering the picture ❤️
Dear Barbara, thanks so much for another delicious sunday-snack. I really enjoyed it! Wonderful colours. And how cool, that your hubby found these 2 counts, which fit so great. Very nice memories in a very special journal! I saw adorable pages! 🥰 Have a very relaxed sunday evening! Hugs from Rita
Really like the lovely collage built over your captured photograph. The yellow/gold gem you added over the actual image in the hanging shade is a beauty idea. Thank you for this bitesize tutorial.
I really enjoyed this episode of junk journal snacks. I got some excellent ideas for how to use photos and the many things I bring home from my travels. Your page is lovely. I always look forward to your junk journal snacks. They go perfectly with my morning cup of tea. (So, SO much better than the news does!) What a gorgeous journal Hanni made for you and how wonderful that you two were able to meet!
Thank you so much for your continuing inspiration ❣️You have helped me so much. Where I live we’re starting to get lots of this ❄️🌨 and that makes me want to curl up and junk journal. (Also crochet) Have a wonderful day ☃️♥️
I'm with you in really liking that opening! when I first saw a couple of artists having it in their works I wondered how it came about and finally realized it came drom the envelope punch board. No, I do not particularly want to invest in another gadget but I have found a way to get a similar result. Mark the middle of your paper on the opposite side, make a triangle by having the midpoint be your apex, Cut out the triangle and then use a corner rounder on the two points of the triangle. The only difference is that with the envelope punch all 3 points are rounded and perhaps there's a way to do this manually with the third point; meanwhile it's "close enough for jazz" in my mind.
Oh lovely Barbra 🤗 This is a sweet mention from you 🥰 love you dear 😘😘 I love how you embellished the photo it comes so oriental 😍 also I loved when you stamped every page with light tone stamp ☺️ Love everything and you make me laugh always 😄😘
What a pretty page and the little journal you put in the pocket was so cute. I get a little nervous when I see the sanding block come out and then you crumple up the paper. It always turns out so well though. Sometime soon I will get brave and try this myself. Thank you Barbara.
Love the crinklely sound of your journal! I think it is lots of fun taking something new and giving it a vintage look just like your pamphlet. Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦🎄
Hi Barbara, love, love, love the finished page. And wow Egypt again. I bought this punch which is a corner punch and also punches a notch from Amazon EFCO Notch and Corner Punch, Blue, 8 x 7 x 4 cm in the UK it was £7.41. Take care and stay safe. Much luv. Xx
Oh, I love it! I have some beautiful photos of a sunset on Pismo Beach from our recent trip and some cards from restaurants we went to. I will definitely borrow this idea from you! Thanks for the inspiration!
Beautiful page and tiny journal!!! When I have a piece that is to shiny, IE: magazine page or a flier type I take tea bags that have been used in our empty and glue them over the picture they give a nice hue the picture. 🥰🐞🤗
