About Rana: Born and brought up in a small town of Odisha, Nayagarh, Soumya Ranjan Mishra, more popularly called Rana among his professional and friends’ circle, had never thought in his wildest of imaginations that one day he would be switching lens on his camera and giving it his best to capture the perfect moods and moments of people around him. It all began during his primary school days when he made it a point to carry a camera with him on school excursion trips, an age where his other classmates were busy juggling a Walkman.
That habit stayed on and very soon turned into a passion that has gone on to become his identity now.Wildlife, beautiful landscapes enticed him and he started mastering his skills on the camera, shooting hours after hours together. But his moment of reckoning came when he discovered his best self while covering a wedding in town. Capturing love on camera is his biggest passion and freezing the once in a lifetime memories for the couple and their families is his most prized dream. Rana’s contemporary wedding coverage strives to capture the most candid moments and the myriad of colours, emotions and cultures of the most auspicious occasion of one’s life.
