The Magic Ring instruction & demo are so simple ✨️ So many other instructions seem unnecessarily convoluted. Thanks for showing a simplified version. Also love the insight on the standing sc join at the color change. Bonus for watching the tutorial!
Thank you so much Mikey. You bring joy, creativity and effortless fun into the crotchet craft. Listening to you was so much more enjoyable than following a boring old pattern! I've made one beanie for my great niece and now will start on another in - yep a nautical theme of blue and white. :)
This the best pattern I found for a good fit on the Bucket Hat. I made it with the Peaches and Cream yellow and white variegated yarn. It took two of the small rolls of yarn to complete. I have been making hats to donate, but this one I am keeping for myself. Thank you for the great video. Your videos are always so easy to follow.
I love watching and working creating from your videos. I always learn something from each one. Not to mention, you're funny and I love your silly comments throughout. Keep up the great work.
Mikey, I absolutely adore you. You've helped me out of many a hard place, and given me back my crochet joy more than once! I will dig for my S&C and make one of these stat! 💖
You said pop! You spo Spilled your pop! I say pop. I'm from up north, near Chicago, but i live in Texas now. Ppl make fun when i day pop. And omg, do i love you. I love your sense of humor. You have a knack for always making me smile and even lsugh
No! I'm happier than a seagull with a French fry!!! 🙃 Thanks for sharing this pattern and the tutorial. I can't wait to start this!! You're the best, Mikey!!! 🐦🍟
This is the first time I have followed your patterns. You are great. The instructions are very easy to follow. Thank you! From a beginner crocheter. I want more.
It would be nice to know the measure after the rounds of the skull or top part, prior to the 4 rounds of single crochet, to check gauge, and changing towards the brim, which I take it, is next? I have 16 rounds..😮 made mistakes must rip twice now. I hope to gain confidence and do a baby blanket. I’ll be happy as a clam at high tide! 😂
I really like this hat. I also like using a magic ring. Is there a formula for when you can substitute a magic ring for chain so many stitches and join? My guess is somewhere between 2 and 4 chains would be the max?? Loved your tutorial
Great tutorial and lots of sass!! I need to make my hat a bit bigger. How do you recommend I go about it? Measured my head and it’s easily 63cm (I have it’s of hair-ok a bit big headed too 😝). Thank you!!
Hi - I love your very entertaining tutorial, but I have a question - how could I add another increase row because the hat is just a Wee bit too small even after changing to size h hook - do you have any suggestions - thanks!
Good question! Yarnspirations designed this. I would fire them off a message through their website. They will get in touch with the designer and see what comes back. If I make a suggestion, it can throw everything out of sync. They will know best. yarnspirations.com on the bottom to contact them.
I really don't like seams running up my hats, so I usually crochet in the round. The only problem is changing colors. Anyone know a way to change colors without it looking like a step? Also on these bucket hats I like to finish the brim with a backward single crochet for a more finished look.
Hi Mikey, can you do the cheat at the end with a double chrochet? I am making the Lily Sugar and Cream Sun Swirl Crochet bucket hat. I really dont like gaps at the ends. The hat you are doing now is my next project. Thanks!
Mikey, the written pattern from Yarnspirations said Top: chain 2, 8 SC in 2nd chain from hook instead of making a magic ring, I don't understand how to start without making a magic ring, could you demonstrate this crochet skill, too? thank you!
It would be like a regular circle. Ch 2... then place in 8 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook. Then sl st to the beg sc instead. I found it leaves a noticeable hole but you can always sew it shut.
Umm I'm unsure as advice like this can through your off track. I would try the hat as is... if you think it's too small, on the last increase round, just increase again.
Do you have someplace I can email you a bunch of questions? I’m new to all this but I don’t know how to move fwd. I love your shirt btw. And awesome tutorial
I was trying to like, but it wouldn't let me. So I hit dislike, and it took that! I hit buttons more, trying to get like to work, but it wouldn't. So, that's why you may have dislikes from me. I've been told even a dislike is better than nothing. True? Anyway, really 💕 you. Thanks for sharing and the tips. I also saved this, hoping to make it later.
It's okay. Honestly, I don't take the dislikes personally. It's an opinion button, not representing the person I am. Enjoy. Yes, hitting either like or dislike is beneficial on TH-cam.
Just finished making this hat and it sadly came out too small 😔 I followed the tutorial exactly and used the same yarn and hook but somehow it’s too small. Anyone else have this problem?

I really love this , and your magic trick is a game changer! How do I increase the size ? Thanks ❤️

Beautiful! TFS! ❤
Wow! Nice bucket hat!
"We, meaning all my personalities" 🤣🤣🤣
Great tutorial and lots of sass!! I need to make my hat a bit bigger. How do you recommend I go about it? Measured my head and it’s easily 63cm (I have it’s of hair-ok a bit big headed too 😝). Thank you!!
What’s the length from crown to the point where the brim is starting?
Is it recommended to use only cotton yarn for the bucket hat? Thank you.
Mickey I love this hat
Can I use this pattern for a child hat as well? :) thank you for the amazing video
How do you tighten the crown if it’s too big when you finish
I wish I could find a short chart, a simple one-page simple chart of these increase stitches. Could you provide that please?
You can email Yarnspirations to ask the designer to put in the work for that.
Oh I will! Thank you for your show.@@TheCrochetCrowd
Gracias maestro👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😘🇲🇽🌺🌺🤍
Can it be done in one color or a variegated yarn. Also what brand can it be used to make it
Love it mikey thank you 👏🏻you made my day 😘Amanda xx💕💖
What kind of yarn is sugar & cream you're using? From Philippines.
Mikey can you use raffia?
Oh my goodness. I just found my next project. Lol
Love you Mikey
I love it. Thank you very much.

I love everything you do, BUT can you do us a huge favor and give what the stitch count is supposed to be at the end of every round? Thank you!!!!!
The stitch counts are available on the written pattern. The link to download it is in the description of the video.

Absolutely. Give it a try. :D
you made my day 💕 ❤ 💛 💙
Thank you
thanks so much! you are amazing
My hook is a Susan Bates, on the handle it states G-6/4.00MM, is this the same as your F 4mm?
Yes. Use 4 mm. Trust the metric.
Round 9
Shouldn't it be a front loop?

@@TheCrochetCrowd Thank you very much for your prompt reply Mikey! I will try what you explained to see how it is different from the magic ring.
Apparently, I have been increasing one stitch on every round because now I have a lot more than 78 stitches. Good thing that I have a largish head.
If I have a bigger head (58cm 23 inches) Which rows would you increase to overcome this please? Love your intro 😂😂😘
Umm I'm unsure as advice like this can through your off track. I would try the hat as is... if you think it's too small, on the last increase round, just increase again.
Try going up on your hook size while following the pattern. Each hook size makes a slightly bigger hat.
Do you have someplace I can email you a bunch of questions? I’m new to all this but I don’t know how to move fwd. I love your shirt btw. And awesome tutorial
You can find our email on our website. :D
I love your crochet hook. What brand is that Mikey?
It's a generic from Amazon. There is no brand but Americans tell me it's found at Hobby Lobby. I don't know that first hand.
That 🥰
lt came out nice some bucket hat do not cover
Heck!!!! to the Nooo!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you gauge check it first?
