Wow I didn't know you could handle BP's too much. Mine has hung out with me all day almost everyday since I got him and he hasn't been upset about it but he didn't eat this week and I suspect that's it, thank you very much.
7:36 that was so funny for a second I was really confused because where I live we use Fahrenheit and I was thinking to myself wtf those are both below freezing than I finally realized that you use Celsius.😂
Me as well. I knew it had to be above the seventies, and it took me a few replays to realize she uses Celsius. You're probably not gonna see this coz you wrote that out nine months ago, but I believe 31 degrees C= 87.8 degrees F, and 26 degrees C= 78.8 degrees F.
i was about to screech when i heard you say "warm end should be about 31 and cold end 26", but then i realized you were talking about celsius don't mind me i'm the weird american in the corner
Alena Love because we do everything different from the rest of the world... Fahrenheit instead of Celsius.. football instead of Futbol.. miles instead of kilometers.. that’s why
Football is not “futbol” so apples to oranges. Soccer would have been better And I don’t know why everyone is so freaked out she uses Celsius when she starts the video using cm for length
My family friend's snake actually loves baths. It is really cute because if you have her out and water is running near her she gets excited. Once she was on my neck and i was washing my hands and she actually slithered into the sink.
I'm so happy I found your channel. I just got my first snake last night. His a baby ball python. He's amazing and I'm so fascinated with him already. I appreciate all your videos they are very helpful! Thank you for taking the time and putting so much work into your videos.
Hi @bri bri Does Repticon come to a city near you? It's the largest show I know of near me, they have very good prices and you can pick the individual snake unlike a lot of breeder websites
Jossers Jungle please make a "basic of Boas!" Also, it would be AMAZING if you could do a video on handling defensive/ scared snakes!! Thank you so much!
You should clarify the temperature you state is Celsius. I'd hate for some American kid to see this and think his snake wants to live in the refrigerator...
Tyclone that's a little judgmental I am an "American kid" and I knew right off the bat they don't live that way. I can't believe you would be as rude as to assume that. This is personally offensive to me because you thinking we/they are that stupid. Maybe clarifie a specific amount unless you do mean all of us, that would be rather judgmental. And she does state in the video that "Snakes are cold blooded meaning you need to keep them warm". I hope you can rethink that😂🤗
Could you do a video like this but with corn snakes! I might be getting one by the end of the year and would like to know some more on owning them and just the basics! Love your videos!!!
you are really helpful because most people don't give me enough information to care for a ball python but you give me plenty information that my memo is almost completely filled with notes on how to care for my snake. and i thank you for that to ensure that my snake live a long happy life:D
Jossers Jungle, I know I’m late but your video about why I should get a ball python helped me persuade my parents to get me a ball python! I might get a snake now and I’m so excited
Glad I stumbled upon this! I'm babysitting a bp. He's super calm but I got very worried because he only comes out of his hide to eat. He's pooping and shedding so good to go! 😁
This was a great crash course! We acquired a 6 year old BP and I'm a very hands on person with my pets. I was really worried about the handling. Thank you! This was very easy to follow 🙂
Thank you so much for this! I'm getting a BP in 2 weeks. I've seen this video already but I'm watching again to make sure my BP gets the best life possible! and I have you to thank for it
My family is getting a Ball Python, of course IM the one doing the most reaserch... Always making the middle child do it.. But it is very helpful, thank u
OMG this video was so helpful! I've been thinking about getting a ball python, and I didn't know a lot of this stuff. Thank you so much! I feel a little bit more ready now 😅
My ball python Arty just got loose (hes a houdini FOR SURE) And found him all tangled up in the shoe rack, could hardly get him untangled he was holding on for life....i started talking to him calmly and he released himself and came to me !! it was amazing 🥰
Oh my gosh this was so convenient cause I'm getting my ball python (my first reptile) today so waking up to see this video was just so ironic! On another note I just want to say thank you for all your wonderful videos!!! I've been watching so many of them lately and they're all just so great and informative, I really love seeing your beautiful animals!
This video is amazing. You literally answered all my questions perfectly. I just got a baby ball and I was a little worried of why he was so feisty. He is also a spider so that makes perfect sense that his head sways!! Thanks so much
I'm learning about ball pythons this video is helpful for me I'm learning to be independent in my group home when I live on my own might buy ball python!!😀
I wish you had a gopher snake I really want more information about them. I am interested in buying one and have no clue what to do. I love your videos very educational. Your amazing!
We’re up to 3- they’re right when they say can’t have just one. They’re pretty easy once you get them set up! I’ve been using humidity boxes. We’re going to oaks reptile expo and not planning to bring anyone home, but if we find a banana enchi lesser like one we saw on morphmarket it is coming home 😂
Just letting you know that humidity boxes are insufficient, ball pythons need high humidity throughout the enclosure (at least 60%, ideally 70-80%, measured by a digital hygrometer).
Do I need to warm the mice up a lil before feeding it to my snake or? (I m gonna get my first snake in 2 weeks and I m freaked and excited at the same time lol)
Yeah snake discoverey also had a few good videos about feeding. You can buy frozen meals and thaw it in warm water. Not boiling but enough that the food is warmer than room temp, as reptiles see by the heat radiating from their prey.
I am trading my 5 corns, king & milk snakes in for a Blue eyed Lucy in a few weeks, as soon as the pet store has space, & I love that you present this in a super non-threatening way, so I can post this on my FB wall & it's bound to not offend or scare people who don't like snakes!!!
Hey, 10 days ago i got a two month old pastel ball python. He's still a bit stressed and didn't respond to food when i offered him. But that's not the problem bc i know that he's probably still setteling down. I have checked everything (temperature, humidity and other) but he still acts like ive never heard a ball python does. He doesnt hide much and he just stays outside his hides or he's slithering around the terrarium. I hope that it's just a personality thing and not actualy something to worry about. Just making sure.
I just found your channel yesterday and I just had to subscribe!! I love your personality and your passion for your animals. I'm receiving a pueblan milksnake Friday and your other videos have helped me to ensure that I made a good decision :)
Hey!! I have a question! My boyfriend and I are building a book shelf terrarium. The bottom of the tanks will not have glass they'll have wood, so my question is will using a heating mat give enough heat for the snakes?
Would like to say thank you as you are learn to me a lot about my snakes as I watch your videos fantastic and I would like to say say to Sheffield reptiles fantastic as that's where I got all my reptiles from Attercliffe Sheffield as well as your good self great advise fantastic animals and truly are amazing animals to keep as my first pet and once again thank you for your work for your fantastic videos keep it up up yours thankfully Tony
So you have said in multiple videos that Ball Pythons can get stressed if handled to much. What about taking them out and just letting them sit on like a couch next to you, only touching them if they try to move far away. Would that also be considered "handling" that could cause stress?
As soon as you take them away from their safe enviroment, their hide, they can feel stressed. Even if you don't handle them as much. But most ball pythons will not be stressed from a handling now and then, I even know some people who almost handle them daily without causing stress. So it is possible to get a very calm snake that will tolerate almost everything. But too much handling can be a stress factor :-)
The stress doesn’t really come from the touching. After a few minutes, they realize that if we were predators, we would have already eaten them. It’s definitely more about being taken away from their home. The most common thing I’ve seen is that people handle their ball pythons about once a week, except for the time right before shed and the few days after feeding
Thanks beautiful you help me out alot just now. I do have one ? So if my python comes out of his hide during the day to lay on the top of it is that normal. And should i not use heating pad.. With the wood chip bedding. Maybe the humidity is to high?
Thank you so much! This is a video I've wanted the most! I'm getting a ball python myself in 3 weeks I will keep him in a 20 gallon for a while and then upgrade him to a 30, but my qestion is how long do I keep him in the 20?
Hi I have a baby ball python she has been fed well and been fed 3days ago but still a little active in her tank is this a bad thing? She loves being handled but I only handled her for about 10mins a day I no she definitely isn’t hungry and have wood chip and heat mat ect for is her being abit active Evan tho she’s fed a good thing??
Not a bad thing. As long as the temps/humidity are good and measured by digital gages, there are enough hides and clutter (branches and fake plants), and a thermostat for the heat mat.
Josser’s Jungle, I have a question and is it imperative. You speak of how not having a tank for your baby snake that’s too large. I don’t want to spend the money to keep upgrading tanks because I would need to buy more things. Is it possible to get a 40gal tank and keep the humidity at 60% for the baby snake and allow it to grow in there? Again very very good videos I have been watching a lot of people and you are the first that I subscribed too!!!lol
Hi, I can see you wrote two questions, but I'll answer this one as well :-) Ues it is possible to get a 40 gal, keep the humidity high and a lot of hiding places. Best of luck!
So I was interested in going to a nephew's show and tell to show my snake, give some basic info, let him be petted, etc, any advice on taking him out of his enclosure for an extended period of time, like should i have anything in particular in a mobile container for him? Background info on my snake, Dominique Devereaux is a ball python and is 10 months old, about 22" long, not sure about weight, havent weighed him yet, he handles pretty well i think; he'll start off in a ball for a few minutes then in about 3-5 minutes, he'll be a little more curious and active
So everywhere i had gone said use a heat mat beneath tarrarium below the hide and a reptile lamp up top during day. So should i just have the heat mat and a low heat light?
I have a 50 gal terrarium with a screen top with two heat lamps ( one 75 W and one 60 W)on top and a heating pad below. I have trouble keeping the humidity and heat level up to where it needs to be. I have tried a moist towel covering half of the tank. I also have a large water dish as well. I most the cage several times a day in the morning and evening when I get home from work. Any suggestions ??
Josh Castillo sounds good. You can try switching to cypress mulch/forest floor, maybe mixing in some coconut fibre or sphagnum moss. A properly sized plastic tub would hold humidity much better. The two lamps are definitely drying out the enclosure, so if it’s possible to remove one or both of them without the temp getting too cold I would. A humidifier would also help.
I have loved snakes since I was a young lad. My father is afraid of snakes but has finally decided that I can get one if I use my own money, I am also a musician and healthcare worker by trade and wanted to know if they require constant monitoring (excluding the reptile pun) and if they dislike noise as I would like to make sure that the snake will be comfortable in my music studio (my bedroom isn't large enough). Thanks in advance!!
I also can’t keep my humidity up. It’s sits around 42%. I spray a few times a day but it goes right back down after about 30 minutes. I covered half the top with a towel, have a big water dish near the heat and have a humidity box (which he sits in all the time now).
I always recommend buying from breeders, either from their website or from reptile expos. Gender is up to you, the only difference I really experience is the size, the females do tend to get bigger. I can't say what the cost is, depends if you buy everything new and what you want and all that kind of stuff. :-)
Hello! Just curious, what's your opinion on housing two male ball pythons together? I'm looking into getting a 55 gallon tank which I'm sure would be more than enough space, but I've been looking around and have seen many pros and cons on doing so.
Hi! In general I don't recommend housing snakes together unless you are looking to breed them. Some house cornsnakes together without any issues, but I wouldn't take the risk of bites, attacks or even them eating each other. One snake per terrarium :-)
i have a 5 feet long terrarium, you think i can have 2 in there together or i have to put something in the middle so they dont see each other, by the way i want to get a female and a male to reproduce them later. thanks for all 😁
Brandon Araiza Hi! You should definitely house them seperate, and preferably in seperate terrariums. They are solitary animals and prefer to live alone. I have seen a case where one ballpython ate the others. Also, if you want to breed, which I think is awesome. Remember that males need to be at least 1 year and 700 grams and females 3 years and 1600 grams! Good luck with everything! :-)
Hi! I wanted to ask a question, do you suggest me feeding in my snakes enclosure or a different enclosure? I fed once already in the enclosure because he’s still young, I have been getting so many different answers and I’m not sure what I should do! Thanks so much for your feedback!
thank you for the answer and your videos are really helpful before I got my corn snake I watched a lot of your videos and you wore a great help and now I'm getting a ball python so I'm super excited
I was wanting a ball python then a corn then a Brazilian rainbow boa now a ball python again, for my first snake. I'm set on a ball python at a expo in April
hey! new to ball pythons. I have heard about the spider morph's 'wobble' and i have decided i wont personality get one for that reason, but what about other morphs? are there any other morphs which have neurological problems? or is it just spiders? thanks 🖤
I just found your channel and you’ve been so helpful! I’m thinking about buying my first snake, and I found an online breeder with a very high rating. I’ve researched a lot about ball pythons, but I’ve read that when they’re too small for the terrarium, they can get stressed. I was wondering what a good size terrarium would be for a hatchling? Should I head straight for a 30gal terrarium, or should I start a lot smaller?
Thank you so so much !❤❤❤ I appreciate it very much ♡
Thank you for requesting! I had so much fun making this video and learned a little bit as well! :-)
Jossers Jungle so I have to buy a little terrarium for my BP i Don’t know how big
Marilyn Manson Johnny Depp how heavy are they?
no matter how famous u get dont lose that amazing smile
Jackalope Tv Now that's a promise! :-)
Wow I didn't know you could handle BP's too much. Mine has hung out with me all day almost everyday since I got him and he hasn't been upset about it but he didn't eat this week and I suspect that's it, thank you very much.
I love how huge and oversized BP snake heads look when they first hatch
Seriously, baby BPS got serious jawlines
Haha yes they have quite the jawline to grow into!
Ball Pythons are so beautiful C:
But, alas, my mother thinks they'll eat her in her sleep.
snert ! How she gonna do that if her mom doesn’t let her get one💀
xXIce_ColdXx jossersjungle made a video a while ago why you shouldn’t be afraid of snakes show your mum that
xXIce_ColdXx my dad thinks it’s the devil😑
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Are they poisonous
"when they come out of the eggs they are fully functioning and ready to eat"
Well i certainly interpreted that wrong....
Moose same lol
Moose 😂😂me too
it is like saying my interests are eating family and pets 😉
Moose and that’s not even fully true
I paused the video and was like “ready to eat?!..... oh wait 😂😂... she meant ready to eat food 😭😭”... took me a good 20secs lol
7:36 that was so funny for a second I was really confused because where I live we use Fahrenheit and I was thinking to myself wtf those are both below freezing than I finally realized that you use Celsius.😂
Britney Osenga Ya I was like that's really cold even for a human
Britney Osenga lol
Britney Osenga I was thinking the same thing!!!! Thats why I was searching the comments to see if someone else was wondering the same thing. 😂
Britney Osenga me too!!
Me as well. I knew it had to be above the seventies, and it took me a few replays to realize she uses Celsius. You're probably not gonna see this coz you wrote that out nine months ago, but I believe 31 degrees C= 87.8 degrees F, and 26 degrees C= 78.8 degrees F.
i was about to screech when i heard you say "warm end should be about 31 and cold end 26", but then i realized you were talking about celsius

Filthy, nasty creature 😂
No me too
Thank you for all the info! I just got my baby bumblebee ball python named Aella and she is the best thing! Adorable and seems to like her habitat.
Getting my first bp for Christmas can't wait!!!!!!
Caitlin Thell - How is your snake doing now? How much has it grown?
Caitlin Thell lucky I want one but I need to wait for a little while
Hi where did you buy yours from
Hi @bri bri Does Repticon come to a city near you? It's the largest show I know of near me, they have very good prices and you can pick the individual snake unlike a lot of breeder websites
hi, I have a video suggestion. could you make a video on if you lose your snake and how to find it?
thanks
DizzyNinjas25 YT Great idea! I would love to do that! :-)
=D
DizzyNinjas25 YT just got off work and found mine 10 minutes ago. She was exploring my book shelf
Dizzy XD I never found mine
i am still hoping to find mine (gone for three days now)
You should make this a series "basics of _" I'd love to see you do basics of all the different kinds of snakes, tarantulas, an more❤️🖤❤️🖤
L T That is such a great idea! I'll definitely do that!! :-)
Jossers Jungle awesome I can't wait!!❤️🖤❤️🖤😄
Jossers Jungle please make a "basic of Boas!" Also, it would be AMAZING if you could do a video on handling defensive/ scared snakes!! Thank you so much!
You are fun to watch and listen to. I am planning on getting a bp soon so I’ve been watching tons of videos and reading on sites haha.
A ball python found its way onto my patio today. It was an amazing experience.
You should clarify the temperature you state is Celsius. I'd hate for some American kid to see this and think his snake wants to live in the refrigerator...
Tyclone 😂😂😂
Tyclone that's a little judgmental I am an "American kid" and I knew right off the bat they don't live that way. I can't believe you would be as rude as to assume that. This is personally offensive to me because you thinking we/they are that stupid. Maybe clarifie a specific amount unless you do mean all of us, that would be rather judgmental. And she does state in the video that "Snakes are cold blooded meaning you need to keep them warm". I hope you can rethink that😂🤗
Your kind of insensitive
haha
Ctfu 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Could you do a video like this but with corn snakes! I might be getting one by the end of the year and would like to know some more on owning them and just the basics! Love your videos!!!
Keeley Barber That is such a great idea! I'll definitely do that one! Thank you so much and good luck with your corn snake! If you get it :-)
I have my male in a 120 (4x2x2) with loads of plants, wood and hides etc. He uses every inch of the space it's so lovely to see!

Hey!! I have a question! My boyfriend and I are building a book shelf terrarium. The bottom of the tanks will not have glass they'll have wood, so my question is will using a heating mat give enough heat for the snakes?
Actually wood is better for heating, because it keeps the heat better.
I have a new banana spider pastel mix.. hes so derpy with his wobble so it makes me laugh so often and makes him mess intimidating
I absolutely love your channel! So glad I discovered you!
Thank you, I'm so glad to hear that! :-)

I don't know if it's gonna burrow, but ball python do tend to hide away most of the day and come out at night to hunt :-)
Is that a pastel ivory in the beginning? That's so beautiful.
Wesley Shadoan he's a BEL
Thank you so much! This is a video I've wanted the most! I'm getting a ball python myself in 3 weeks I will keep him in a 20 gallon for a while and then upgrade him to a 30, but my qestion is how long do I keep him in the 20?

Are your thermometer and hygrometer digital or analog? What’s the substrate?
@@fionashepley478 coconut husk and digital
Josh Castillo sounds good. You can try switching to cypress mulch/forest floor, maybe mixing in some coconut fibre or sphagnum moss. A properly sized plastic tub would hold humidity much better. The two lamps are definitely drying out the enclosure, so if it’s possible to remove one or both of them without the temp getting too cold I would. A humidifier would also help.
When you say must the hide, are you referring to the under part? Our snake has started the shed process (eyes, dull color)
I usually do it on the top of the hide :-)
@@JossersJungle it’s his first shed (and our first snake) since my son got him so trying to make it as smooth as possible. Thanks
Do you have any videos on rosy boas?
Unfortunately not :-)
I forgot she was using Celsius and almost died 😂
What would you recommend a ceramic heat emitter or the dual dom day and night light?
Hello to France, good video. I have 11 ball pythons.
Where do you recommend getting a ball python at? And what gender? Also, what would be the cost of all the supplies needed?
I always recommend buying from breeders, either from their website or from reptile expos. Gender is up to you, the only difference I really experience is the size, the females do tend to get bigger. I can't say what the cost is, depends if you buy everything new and what you want and all that kind of stuff. :-)
ive been comiing back 2 this video for months and my dad finally agreed!!!
Congratulations!!
I know I'm late. But I love the way you talk. It's so unique >:D
Hey so like I was thinking about getting a ball python r they a easy pet to tame or they always like I’m a snake I’m weird
They’re a very docile species. I’ve worked with 14+ ball pythons and only one was defensive.
Should the heat mat be turned off during the day? I have been leaving mine on all the time.
What do you recommend for controlling temperature and humidity
What is the best size for me to buy as a first pet snake
i have a 5 feet long terrarium, you think i can have 2 in there together or i have to put something in the middle so they dont see each other, by the way i want to get a female and a male to reproduce them later. thanks for all 😁
Brandon Araiza Hi! :-)
thnks so much, you the best
Where do u get ur pythons there really beautiful
lol lol Noel, the white one, I bought at the reptile expo in Hamm, and the two others I bought from a private seller :-)
Thanks
Lots of useful information
Thank you!!❤️❤️ I bought a ball python and it’s really healthy!!!😘
Ball/Royal Pythons are in West Africa too. I am in Ghana and they are here. I have some in my house and on my farms
Hi! I wanted to ask a question, do you suggest me feeding in my snakes enclosure or a different enclosure? I fed once already in the enclosure because he’s still young, I have been getting so many different answers and I’m not sure what I should do! Thanks so much for your feedback!
Feed inside the enclosure. There is no good reason to move to feed.
What kind of white ball Python is it not get bigger? Can go up to 4-7 foot?
Sorry, what are you asking?
Shared#fan!! Got my ball python...love snskes
hey I was wondering do you need to have your heat pad turned on during the night
We turn the heat pads off during the night, to mimic a normal day and night cyclus :-)
thank you for the answer and your videos are really helpful before I got my corn snake I watched a lot of your videos and you wore a great help and now I'm getting a ball python so I'm super excited
Can you do more videos on California king snakes plz
Absolutely! :-)
I was wanting a ball python then a corn then a Brazilian rainbow boa now a ball python again, for my first snake. I'm set on a ball python at a expo in April
You are so good at doing this thank you so so much because soon I might get a snake and then you teach me how to handle it I really appreciate🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🙀💗
hey! new to ball pythons. I have heard about the spider morph's 'wobble' and i have decided i wont personality get one for that reason, but what about other morphs? are there any other morphs which have neurological problems? or is it just spiders? thanks 🖤
Any morph with bee in the name has the spider gene, and therefore the wobble/neurological issues. Champagnes have a wobble as well
Do you NEED a humidifier? I've seen some people spray their tanks often?
I just found your channel and you’ve been so helpful! I’m thinking about buying my first snake, and I found an online breeder with a very high rating. I’ve researched a lot about ball pythons, but I’ve read that when they’re too small for the terrarium, they can get stressed. I was wondering what a good size terrarium would be for a hatchling? Should I head straight for a 30gal terrarium, or should I start a lot smaller?
