  • The Nordeste region in Brazil has become an oven: it is up to 47 degrees in the shade and 70 degrees in the sun; sand and dust engulf entire lands; for truckers, the sand turns into a deadly trap.

I’m Brazilian and I can assure that more than 90% of the roads are paved, however once is a very big country, it will vary according to the region and the state. My state, as example, has paved roads to all cities and just few districts (1%) are not paved and I live in northeast region, arguably the poorest of all. In North and Central East regions, you still have unpaved roads, due to very long distances, low population and amazon forest, but in South, Southeast and Northeast, where lives more than 80% of the population, almost all roads are paved

As a foreigner living here and I am staying it is the best place on the planet…while the world is suffering from water shortages and food, here sun, super fertile land, fruit free in the trees, plenty of rain!
As they described above, even the poor super friendly and still make a living through so many ways creative, many churches help the poor and some just lazy to work…in my city all the homeless eat all meals for free from the churches that come with big trucks and they give like in the airplanes in small boxes, so hygienic. It’s actually a very well organized country and people really do help each other it’s nowhere in the world I have seen it.
In general it’s an amazing culture and the lifestyle is amazing!
I know so many people that make basic salary of 1000-1200 Reals ( $200 ) but they might also have a second job Uber which they make another 1K or 3K so they hard a lot and still manage to go to the beach and be spontaneous…also many middle class are waaaay higher life than europe middle class. I was shocked of young couples having full time Nannie’s to take care of their kids and cleaners coming in because they can afford. Normal people can afford beauty treatments that in europe would cost a fortune…you see middle class age 60 they do some crazy lifts that makes them look amazing. In europe you have to be very wealthy to do that. You should see most people’s teeth here crazy good condition. Hygiene and showering most like 99% smell amazing because they shower like 3-4 times a day. Some silly stuff I am mentioning but as a European here I am pretty shocked how amazing the standard in these things.
My friends could never afford fixing their faces, teeth and pretty much everything like here.
It’s a massive county so it also has massive opportunities. I have a friend that is 22 and he has started his own marketing company ( very brought up pretty poor ) but he earns like $4K
