Plants vs. Zombies 2 (formerly referred to as Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time, abbreviated as PvZ2) is a tower defense game released by PopCap Games. This game is a sequel to the award-winning game Plants vs. Zombies. It was released for iOS devices on Thursday, August 15, 2013 and on Android devices on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. This time, the player battles new zombies in a time travel adventure.
Pea Pod is the third plant obtained in the Wild West in Plants vs. Zombies 2. It is a peashooting plant, and the number of peas it shoots at a time corresponds to the number of heads it has at that moment. The player can increase the number of heads it has by planting another Pea Pod on top of it, with five heads being the maximum. One head does 20 DPS, two heads do 40 DPS, three heads do 60 DPS, four heads do 80 DPS and five heads do 100 DPS.
Mega Gatling Pea is a peashooting plant in Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduced in the 9.8.1 update for the Mega Gatling Pea's Mega Arena season. He is able to fire four peas at a time at zombies every 1.35-1.5 seconds, with a chance to randomly activate his Plant Food ability every time he attacks while on the lawn. If Mega Gatling Pea's Plant Food ability is activated for the first time he will shoot out five peas instead of four.

The only three wins Pea Pob got were when the enemy were low HP and Mega boi didn't ult fast enough.

Plus after either platfooding itself or you plantfood it after the plantfood effect it will start firing 5 peas at a time which gives it an even higher DPS.

And he technically costs less, cause Pea Pod at max lvl is 75 and Mega Gatling Pea is 200, but Pea Pod for max efficiency needs 5 of it which is 375 sun

Keep in mind that it's easyer to get Peapod stacked cuz you don't have to wait to get 400 but more importantly it costs more money to get 4 peapods stacked than placing 1 gatling pea, and then they have the same amount of peas but placing the 5th costs WAYY more money (suns)

so it is sort of like do you prefer consistent high damage or a chance to deal critical damage? except gattling pea does pretty good damage already and has a really insane crit damage as well as crit rate.

Keep in mind that after plant fooded he upgrade to 5 pea shooting, equally strong as lv10 peapod, and also this is cheaper than 5 peapod combine, I definitely choose Megagatling over the other

@@maxmanchik i think max level will be pretty expensive. To deal with zombies in multiple lanes I woulf choose pea pod cuz its cheaper in single, also cheaper for ungrading, but if my megagatling is max level i'll definitely choose it instead

Also galting pea to pea pod in the first place is not that unfair, one can shoot 5 while the other one can shoot 4, it's just that the galting is more op cuz his special ability is to plant food itself. Mega Gatling Pea is better, it’s more powerful, automatic platfood and importantly, it’s quite cheaper.
Thing is, getting the plant food effect is RNG-based. In a scenario where gatling pea doesn't get plant food, it's lesser.
So it being better relies on rng.
In the long run Gatling pea is still better
