This is the only such event on the calendar though, and for quite a measly top prize. (50,000 for this vs 500,000 for the Saudi event.) Ronnie, Judd and others regularly skip this.
@JOHN-tk6vl tune out for 4 days then and let people who enjoy novelty and fun have their time. Scottish Open starts Monday. Back to business. Hope you watch every match and support the game on the whole. You'll probably just follow 2/3 players and sulk when they lose though. Hopefully not. Hope your favourite player does well. Have a boring, snooker free weekend sir.

a thriller? it's a disgrace to the sport whatever this format is. also not enjoyable to watch them and the match was boring.
another defending champion failing at second round, we have yet to see defending champion reach the third round..
