Wow, my previous post sounds fairly rude. I didn't mean it to sound that way. I apologize. Anyway, I guess I understand what you mean, but since my opinion is completely different, it's difficult for me to wrap my head around how people think the "KO pause" makes it more epic, since I don't see it that way. Well, regardless, I'm just glad people post videos like this in the first place
Fun fact: *M.bison is a reference to Mike Tyson but capcom was scared that they might get a lawsuit from the boxer so in the US they changed his name to balrog to avoid copyright*
LAWL Ryu is doing his best shoryuken EVER, notice the eye contact just before the jaw shatters, not quite like Gouki's, as he simlpy does an amazing evil super shoryuken
@incredibil45 Yes. The original names were (US = Japan) M.Bison = Vega, Vega = Balrog, Balrog = M. Bison. Capcom had to switch up the names because M. Bison means Mike Bison (which explains why one of his Ultras/Supers is called the Crazy Buffalo). For obvious reasons (name sounds dangerously close to Mike Tyson, who was the inspiration for the character), they had to change M. Bison to Balrog for the US release to avoid getting sued. Hope that helps.
Man, I cant wait for this version to come out. However, many of the Ultra's look way to silly and unrealistic. At least with SF4, the Combos were realistic to each individual characters, but still, it will be a change from the Ultra's we are so used to now. Exclude Ryu's, Bison, Barlog from my comment.
@benderunit2 The names are switched around. M. Bison is Balrog's original name, because he's named after Mike Tyson. Vega was M. Bison's original name, and Balrog was Vega's original name. Sometimes to keep things simpler people just call them "Boxer", "Claw", and "Dictator".
@TheAydinman Japanese M.Bison is named Vega. Japanese Balrog is named M.Bison. Japanese Vega is named Balrog. Seems like someone made a mistake with the translating, but this also ocurred in the other parts of Street Fighter,so they also implemented it in IV.
@yagoks According to Street Fighter lore, Ryu uses the a deadly version of the same move, something he picked up while being possesed. Gouken does not use killing moves and he taught Ryu and Ken that. Metsu pretty much means "Destruction/Destroyer".
Juki: Failed seduction is evil... Ken: Making the Falcon Kick look like a joke ;D Balrog(M.Bison): Epic shoulder shrugging is epic... Rufus: How a guy of his size is able to spin that fast will remain a great mystery... Ryu: Methinks Ken has a broken jaw now. Sagat: Tiger Shot on steriods =D Seth: No more "BECOME A PART OF ME" T-T T-Hawk: Well, that's one way to relieve stress... C-Viper: Combining the elements for MAXIMUM DAMAGE!!
Abel: YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND, SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND!! Adon: Uber monkey strike!! M.Bison(Vega): Blasting a hole though one's stomach makes one feel ill... Blanka: Pikachu use THUNDERBOLT!! Cammy: Smooth, lethal and ultra sexy. Chun-Li: Meh, the previous one looked better... Cody: PIPE STRIKE!! Dan: His face at 1:50 tells the tale Deejay: Needs moar PUNCH El Fuerte: Abel, but Mexican =) Zangief: Broken, twisted skull anyone? Guy: LIGHTNIN!! More next comment =D
Because in Japan M. Bison is Vega, Vega is Balrog, and Balrog is M. Bison. Capcom switched the names in the US version because Balrog (as of the original Street Fighter II, named as M. Bison) bore a very strong resmblance to the popular (at the time) Mike Tyson.
@zombieslikeblondes Actually you got it mixed up. American Vega is Japanese Balrog, American Balrog is Japanese M. Bison and American Balrog is Japanese Vega, if memory serves. I remember this 'cause "M Bison" is supposed to be short for Mike Bison, a parody obviously of Mike Tyson, but they were worried about how Mike would take that so they switched the names around.
Abel: Brutal...for a French person Adon: NUT SHOT! Bison(vega?): awesome Blanka: "Pikachu thunder bolt" Cammy: Chiropractor fail Cody: Home run... with out drugs, rare Balrog: Poor... needs more price money. Rufus: "You spin me right round like a record.." Seth: ...Why...
i'm pretty sure that might be if he uses it as an anti air then you get that effect though i could be wrong. I did notice that the ground version does go almost FULL screen on both sides though :)
@Chargersith666 In japan: USA Bison is known as Vega. USA Vega is known as Balrog and USA Balrog is known as M.Bison or his complete name Mike Bison in clear reference to Mike Tyson I believe.
@bes112 The reason that they changed it in EU and America was of problems with the resemblance of the boxer M.Bisons name and Mike Tyson. To avoid getting sued they switched the names.
Guy:I bet your NEVER gonna get out of jail,Cody *Cody starts doing Ultra* Cody:Your right,guy...If i only would get a hole in one shot, then i would have won^^ Guy:Wait,NOOOOO!
Ry's Shin Shoryuken is more brutal than it was in SF III 1st punch- your rib cage caves in 2nd punch- shatters your entire jaw final punch- sends flying in the air before you hit the ground in a brutal heap of rubble
First I thought how in the world did Dan get such a cool ultra, then I changed my mind when he was blowing back by his own move :/ I haven't recovered from his super tuant yet -_-'
@Ghost2161 japanese its Vega, because thats why. japanese Vega is called balrog. japanese Balrog is called M.Bison.(pun on Mike Tyson) they changed it to avoid getting sued. done.
The different name thing is to do with the fact that in Japan Balrog is called M. Bison, as in Mike Tyson, they wanted to avoid a lawsuit so they chopped the names around. UK Vega JPN Balrog UK M. Bison JPN Vega UK Balrog JPN M. Bison
@youngwestwoodboi513 it was all because of Balrog... ever since Street Fighter 2, Balrog was supposed to be named M. Bison, they mimic him to look like Mike Tyson, but for fear of legal purposes... they changed what Japan called Bison to Balrog for the US games... that change alter a lot of things, Balrog (US) was M. Bison (Japan)... M. Bison (US) was Vega (Japan)... Vega (US) was Balrog (Japan)... Sagat kept the same name for both US and Japan release...

@incredibil45 Yes. The original names were (US = Japan) M.Bison = Vega, Vega = Balrog, Balrog = M. Bison. Capcom had to switch up the names because M. Wow, letrien21, you don't have to share with us your "handy" moment. hahaha

C.Viper and Juri have badass ultras

Ryu's and Crimson Viper's were amazing in my personal opinion. :o
Dear Street fighter i learn my lesson from this game also from does opponents that thoght me qas a pleasure to play the game in and out.
@TheAydinman Japanese M.Bison is named Vega.
Japanese Balrog is named M.Bison.
Japanese Vega is named Balrog.
Seems like someone made a mistake with the translating, but this also ocurred in the other parts of Street Fighter,so they also implemented it in IV.
i have never seen so much epic pwnage in my life...
if it was cammy or juri i would enjoy every second of it
@yagoks According to Street Fighter lore, Ryu uses the a deadly version of the same move, something he picked up while being possesed. Gouken does not use killing moves and he taught Ryu and Ken that. Metsu pretty much means "Destruction/Destroyer".
Took the words right outta my mouth :D
Juki: Failed seduction is evil...
Ken: Making the Falcon Kick look like a joke ;D
Balrog(M.Bison): Epic shoulder shrugging is epic...
Rufus: How a guy of his size is able to spin that fast will remain a great mystery...
Ryu: Methinks Ken has a broken jaw now.
Sagat: Tiger Shot on steriods =D
Seth: No more "BECOME A PART OF ME" T-T
T-Hawk: Well, that's one way to relieve stress...
C-Viper: Combining the elements for MAXIMUM DAMAGE!!
Some of these could actually be fatalities if a Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter was ever made.

Zangief: Broken, twisted skull anyone?

@mashidania This is SUPER Street Fighter 4, which is a different game from vanilla Street Fighter 4, and to my knowledge, there is no PC release. =(
Because in Japan M. Bison is Vega, Vega is Balrog, and Balrog is M. Bison. Capcom switched the names in the US version because Balrog (as of the original Street Fighter II, named as M. Bison) bore a very strong resmblance to the popular (at the time) Mike Tyson.
Ryu has the best uppercut in the whole universe.
Damn they made these ultras brutal. O_O
You can here kens jaw cracking when Ryu punchew him.

Rufus: "You spin me right round like a record.."
Seth: ...Why...
@cb2198 I still think Marvel VS Capcom moves will also be that little bit more crazy.
i'm pretty sure that might be if he uses it as an anti air then you get that effect though i could be wrong. I did notice that the ground version does go almost FULL screen on both sides though :)

@PL4YNOW Bison's name in Japan is Vega, While Balrog in Japan is M. Bison.

@Chargersith666 In japan: USA Bison is known as Vega. USA Vega is known as Balrog and USA Balrog is known as M.Bison or his complete name Mike Bison in clear reference to Mike Tyson I believe.

Guy:I bet your NEVER gonna get out of jail,Cody *Cody starts doing Ultra*

@Ghost2161 japanese its Vega, because thats why. japanese Vega is called balrog. japanese Balrog is called M.Bison.(pun on Mike Tyson)

UK Vega JPN Balrog
UK M. Bison JPN Vega
UK Balrog JPN M. Bison
@youngwestwoodboi513
it was all because of Balrog... ever since Street Fighter 2, Balrog was supposed to be named M.
