Bro! Speakin of Studio Electronics, They have the BEST Hybrid synth ever. the .Omega 8. Have you looked into that BEAST??!! Glad you mentioned studio electronics!
I dug out my M-Audio Venom last night and set it up. I have created some incredible Pads on this instrument over the years, a very misunderstood synth. The Venom has twelve voices, that can be spread out over four assignable keyboard ranges. It's a Virtual analog instrument where you can even introduce F.M modulation from the encoders directly on the oscillator's. I plan on merging my Venom, Lemon drop, and my Microfreak together with the Sonicware Texture Lab when I receive it in the mail. It's a Great time to be alive for the synthesis community. The TEO-5 ROCKS! Back at Ya SAMURAI !!!
Studio Electronics builds kit for working producers and studios. Hand built, highest quality, designed to be serviceable and last for decades. Worth every penny if that is how you make your living.
Also also P6 have very conflicting statements on the site and manual... i read manual first and there's some flaws and different bitrate mentioned on the pages, and so on. This alone makes me kinda sceptical about it. It's Roland not Ali Express toy... but hey, prolly Roland kinda dropped the ball already and it's a first sign
The biggest issue with all the Aira Compact devices is knowing where you are and what you are doing. The cramped miniscule knobs and buttons might be barely acceptable given the functionality and price, but that often cryptic display?!? I checked my calendar and it is 2024, not 1984... Sonicware has the same type of issues, but not to anywhere near the same degree with over 2.5 times the surface space. The whole "tiny" thing with this lineup and the "boutique" stuff seems to have a following, but I just do not get it.
All these 200.00 toy synths/drum machines. I/you want to collect them all but they also just stack on your shelf. Most people buy and dont use these micro machines. They are so small hard to use. Small jacks and converters. Only think thats cool is battery powered, but the jupiter XM is battery powered and imports samples at way more memory. The p-6 only has 5.9 seconds per sample which is super small. Granular is interesting.. any alternatives for a portable battery operated mic based granular? Liven texture lab has double sample memory, battery, and granular. Double sequencer steps. Thats the competitor, same price just missing a built in microphone.
@@wavesequencer Per sample, but that still makes it difficult to use as an ideas/song sketchpad, I think?… 😏😏😏 … hmmm, my spider-sense is still tingling … need to check all the ways it’s hamstrung with a fine-tooth comb … 🙄🙃. Cheers
@@kierenmoore3236 Maybe a multi-track recorder is more practical for sampling song sketches - e.g. Zoom R12 or Tascam DP-03SD.. just first things I found in similar budgets.
@@synthsamuraiproductions how well will the battery hold in a few years of use , soundwise i categorize it as generic , the old Roland samplers had character , still have the s330 and scsi s550.
I wouldn't mind having that little Roland sampler just for the lo-fi sampling alone. It's also cool that it runs on batteries. Then again, may as well just save up for a SP404. With that said, if I start spending money on little stuff like this too much, I'll never be able to afford that OB-X8 or 3rd Wave!! Wait a minute. These little Roland sampler does granular?!!! Yeah, it's definitely worth buying. I don't think the SP404 can do that! A second thought , I don't know. The sample time isn't that impressive. The Studio Electronics CODE is SWEET. It has been out for a while though, and yes, it is very expensive ($5000)!!! Okay Okay, it costs the same as the OB-X8. However, when I hear the OB-X8, it has an effect on my ears that I don't hear from other synths, in a very GOOD way!!! I used to have a Studio Electronics SE-1X rack and it sounded very good for Minimoog sounds. I should've kept it. Darn it!!!!
Hey, dude! If diving aira j-6 did not force you to get your grandfather's gun and shoot this device in your backyard, then good luck not shooting yourself live with this new box🤣
It’s all good brother. This is my first role in synthesizer and I gotta say I’m pretty blown away, but I can understand people not digging rolling these days.
So which one did you get bro???? The Synthticipation is killing us! 🎉🎉🎉
U will see tonight

Stand for something or Fall for anything. I like this. Also liked how you said wink wink behind those shades. Too funny
Hahaha
The synth community finally has some humor. Thanks samurai.🎉
We trying to lighten the mood 😂
Amen to the big fingers issues. This thing looks like you'd need tweezers to adjust the settings.
Tweezers extra 20$
This was another grear synth show with lots of wise words. I agree to 100% with what was said.
Cheers brother. Been a while for a prerecorded show. Need to find some more balance been heavily weighting livestreams.

@@synthsamuraiproductions samplers should be bigger... after all it's a work with files not just sound... need better controls, big faders etc

Wow … 2.95 seconds of stereo sampling at 44.1kHz … 😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏
Because memory has never been cheaper … Gee, thanks Roland … 😑

According to the website it’s 5.9 seconds per sample at 44.1 KHz. Not total memory. 48 samples. (Half per sample for stereo)

Sounds great but too small

I like having full size instruments but if your slapping batteries in it. Why make it big? I just need a creative outlet on the go.
