imagine being a veteran, and a phenomena comes along, and instead of lifting her up, mentoring her, hold her hand to glory, you undermine her, try to humiliate her, push her down. being competitive is different from being hateful and petty and shallow. which wnba is now.

I have to rewind CC’s moving the ball, passing the ball, and just watching her magic on the court. She is unbelievable. Her hoops are staggering to the mind just wondering what she will do next. I understand why she has enemies on the court and why she is attacked and assaulted. She brings magic to the court and her enemies are overwhelmed at her abilities and are envious and jealous because something new has been added to the women’s game. She is spectacular.

2 year old Taurasi was clearly too old to be on the Team given how much better the competition had become over the years, and everyone on the selection committees knew it. Taurasi is a double embarrassment because she knew she wasn't up to the task and conveniently became "injured" just before the start of the games. Injured or not, she wasn't going to, and did not withdraw from the Olympic Team because she wanted that sixth Gold Medal to have one more than Sue Bird who, like Taurasi, had 5 Gold Medals. What a Patriot! And now, having had nothing to do with the Olympic Team's Gold Medal, Taurasi is bragging about having "WON" another Gold Medal.!!!!!!. OUTRAGEOUS !!!!!! An insult to every fan!!!!!!! This is another "ACCOMPLISHMENT of Rizzotti, Reeve and Engelbert. This will paint them for the rest of their lives for their infuriating dishonesty.

If the WNBA wants to move forward, they need to transition from the old guard such as Coach Reeves, Diana T. (42 years old) and some others to the new leaders and talent. This is hard to do, but for the sake of the WNBA’s future, it MUST be done. Sorry, sometimes the true hurts.

The coach and selection team need to be fired immediately. NO former players should be invited in the selection process. Usually I'd be in favour of ex pros picking a team but these ex pros can't be trusted to not let bias and envy seep into their choices.

My POV: select the team members based on GAME TIME performance..... forget about things like; "she has been in the WNBA 12 years , has allstar game experience, the team can benefit from her experience and leadership........ focus on passing the ball, making shots, looking for the team to perform (and not only individual , ball hogging, performance.... And certainly: choose an impartial COACH to lead the effort..... cannot select a coach (who recently lost a season game to a particular team)

Suddenly….”a lot of missing toes”………The fact that her Debut-game attracted the “largest crowd in the WNBA in twenty years “…..is nothing to sneeze at…..and as much as that represented that is only a very small sample
of the entire diverse -universe of financial gains that she can bring to the WNBA in America….and those “so called administrators coaches and even some players “. that fail to acknowledge such a great pivotal moment …and their comments Might actually be acting against the entire league’s best financial -interest…..and /or the unlimited potential earnings she can bring……..or like they say in other parts…
…they might be shooting themselves in the foot”……….auch!, ..

I have always had great respect for Barry Sanders. I know it’s a completely different sport but what he did is relevant. He could have played longer but he retired at while still playing at a very high level. I’m sure that he didn’t want to retire after 2 or 3 years of deteriorating level of play just to keep getting paid. A lot of professional athletes careers outlast their talent. There’s a lot to be said for leaving your fans wanting more. Instead the last thing fans will remember about her is dwindling talent and an Olympic gold medal that she didn’t help earn.

If Taurasi was that good, why seats were empty at her games ? How come now that we know CC that all seats have people in it ?
The only thing referees have to check now is what is the next step against CC ?
Because from what I see, she needs to be protected because she jumping without a parachute.
She can take a hit but hits are becoming more and more agressive. We’re not talking intimidations here but more deliberate action to injure a player and in her case, the best player.
The team should look for protectors so when CC is hit, they need somebody to be in the face of the attacker.
If not, something wrong is gonna happen.

It’s not sadly time it’s realistically time Taurasi and these older giants have held up the growth of the league, they are blocking the entry of younger players and the growth of the league and have done so for years, these two-dimensional players are empowering self-serving justice warriors that are thriving off of NBA dollars they have no need to compete for popularity nor pleasing the general public, they've spent the last 20 years on political diatribes that must end in order for the league to grow.
