Hi guys, this is a re-upload cause unfortunately the original video got taken down. This is the only way to have the reaction on YT :( the original reaction is on patreon
It's magical the way Brad Delp's voice and guitar melt into one another. You almost can't tell where one ends and the other begins. These guys are fantastic from beginning to end. Another song to check out by them is Don't Look Back. Straight into your personal playlist.
Boston's debut album (Boston, released in 1976) had every track on it made airplay on all the Rock Station in Detroit. Sib Hashian is the drummer, sadly he passed away of a heart attack while playing drums in the middle of a set on a cruise ship on March 22, 2017. Brad Delp is the lead singer and he suffered from depression which sadly led him to take his life on March 9, 2007. R.I.P. Sib & Brad...
You said it so well: it does make you want to fall in love with life again. You know, I've never heard anyone say a bad word about this song. No matter who you are, it just invites you in with a big friendly smile, and it's glorious. You're also right that Brad Delp (the lead singer) had the prettiest eyes. He also had such an astonishing voice and touched so many hearts with his singing. Sadly, he suffered from depression, and in 2007 he took his own life. Such a loss. Another thing: everyone who knew him said he was a great person: friendly, kind, gentle, down to earth, a regular guy and a great neighbor (for example, he helped people mow their lawns). When he died, the band's website said "We just lost the nicest guy in rock and roll."
I had just turned 15 and I wasn't mainstream rock. Neither was my Dad. BUT, to make a living for me and Mom he had to use 'what he knew' which was what he learned in the Army Signal Corp which was analog (pretty much it back then) selling wholesale electronic stuff (diodes, capacitors, transistors and such)(Later keyboard keys and such) and one of his clients told him about this 'new' band, Boston. I heard him tell a friend in passing that it was an 'interesting sound'. For my Dad, that was quite the compliment. I finally bought the album a few years later (after I got a stereo as a BDay gift) and promptly wore the thing out. A friend of mine worked at a music store - they sold instruments but also records. He told me about a new release - half speed mastered. I HAD to have it! Back then LPs cost about $6-7. This was $12. But he got it for me for his store discount.
This is from their debut (first) album as a band! Imagine the public hearing this for the first time from a new band called Boston. They quickly became super famous, EVERY radio station was playing their music 24/7.
Tom Scholz the founder of the band, wrote this song about his cousin, he had kinda a crush on her when he was just a little kid...great song and album, you can do the entire debut album evert song was a hit! This and Forplay/Longtime are from the debut album titled Boston
Great band from the 70's! Very popular at parties...upbeat and happy sounding! I enjoy your personality and reactions so much Inna and hope you have a great day!
Boston is a band that made a habit of recording one album every eight years (except for the first two), but, nevertheless, each of their albums became an absolute event in the world of rock!! Boston lead guitarist Barry Goudreau, along with their subsequent vocalist Fran Cosmo, also had a short-lived side project called Orion the Hunter, whose only self-titled album was released in 1984. I recommend listening to it!
This is so quintessentially 70's. In a similar vein, there is Foreigner. Very much a 70's band (and, yes, I recognize they had a bunch of hits in the 80's...but their big arena songs predominately came from the 70's.)
Well you have heard song 1 and song 3 on their debut album. Now listen to and react to song 2: Peace of Mind. Every song on the debut album of Boston is great or a masterpiece. The first three are masterpieces. Good luck. Thanks and great reaction.
Brad Delp (singer) and Barry Goudreau (2nd guitarist) had another band called RTZ. They had a great song called "Till your love comes back around" in the early 90s. Sadly, it was only a minor hit (Grunge music swept aside all classic rock from the radios) but it deserved to do better.
I love your reaction, and your accent, I can't wait to see your next reaction to this band, I've been a member of your channel for 2 years now and you are honest, fun, and energetic, a breath of fresh air reactor, and speaking of a breath, check out Kylie Minogue's song "Breathe", I have been a fan of hers since 1987.
This song has been played heavily since it came out in 76. Don't feel stressed to try and figure out where you heard that part before. You could have been in a store and heard that part or anywhere. It is one of the most known songs out there
I was in a group chat about music, and one of the younger folks asked, "So, why did people need 500 watt stereos back then?" I told them, "Because we had music that HAD to be listened to loud." Here's a great example.
As has been said when this hit, I was in high school and there had been nothing like it. I needed a new copy after 6 months because I wore out my first! It's hard to believe it was all studio even before a band existed! If I can suggest another voice to get to know check out PMJ "dream On" cover with Morgan James (then check out almost anything she's done!)
You need to hear PEACE OF MIND, it's another great hit. You should also try the band .38 Special and their iconic song HOLD ON LOOSLEY. I'm sure both songs will go on your playlist!
Boston's first album was one the best debut albums ever. _EVERYONE_ loves this song. Btw, you kinda remind me of Anya Taylor Joy. Your eyes aren't quite as far apart as hers though. The eyes being slightly further apart than most people's, is a very attractive trait.(IMO)👁 👁
Not true. According to Tom Scholz, 'Goudreau played the awesome lead on "Long Time" and rhythm on "Foreplay," but on the 1st album, he appears on only 1 other cut ("Let Me Take You Home Tonight"). His work on album 2 was limited to short cameo parts on 3 songs; on 2 of these, he and I took turns playing leads. I played all the rhythm tracks and most of the leads, although he played a nice lead at the end of "Don't Look Back."' and 'Fran did play bass on "Let Me Take You Home," "Foreplay," and a couple of notes on "Don't Look Back."'.'
Other songs from different artists: Bjork - All is full of love Blue Oyster Cult - Don’t fear the reaper Gordon Lightfoot - Sundown The Tragically Hip - New Orleans is sinking.
Hey hope all is well. I'm just wondering please can you react to this video next? In the search bar if you type in The Blathereen. It should be the first video 4 minutes 13 seconds long. Also in the reaction explain what you thought happened from start to finish in your opinion after you watched it. Once again hope all is well and im looking forward to your reaction 😊
I've wanted to ask this. You blurred it out for copyright reasons, but why is yours the only on doing it? I've l;iterally seen dozens of reaction vids to this song, and non blurred. Serious question.
That’s not even the entire song. It’s missing the second verse - “So many people have come and gone…” And you should hear “Something About You” from the same album. My favorite song ever.
INNA- PLEASE TRY LISTENING TO JOHN DENVER- KNOWN AROUNF THE WORLD BEFORE HE PASTED AWAY IN A SINGLE PLANE CRASH- SONG CALLED- "FOR YOU". AND THIS IS FOR YOU YOUNG LADY!
THE most popular song - well if that is possible EVERY song on the first album is on Classic Rock Playlists! Copyright? If this the 'official vid' then just about EVERYONE else who has done this has used this. UNFORTUNATELY, it's based on the US AM radio edit of the song which eliminates the first chorus and second verse. I'm guessing your are Eastern European which isn't a big deal but I'm pretty sure you don't know the deep, dark secret about this band. One guy thought this up and plays wrote 7 of the 8 songs on the first album. He plays ALL the guitars on the first album. 2 other guys played drums on the first album. BUT, most importantly, there is ONE GUY...ONE. GUY. who sings. He sings lead. He sings harmony. AND he sings backing. His name is Brad Delp. And he is no longer among us. But if you want to go back and listen again, (for the purposes of THIS vid) the first chorus (really the second chorus) Delp goes medium to high to even HIGHER at 2:33/2:36 (with the help of Tom Scholz' guitar) But it's even more impressive at the end of the second (actually 3rd chorus) at 3:32/3:38 and the guitar picks up almost right away. And, YEAH, you have most PROBABLY heard this before. It was used in a computer commercial (Tom Scholz, "KA-CHING!" And was used on the US TV show Scrubs for several 'air band' segments.
Hi guys, this is a re-upload cause unfortunately the original video got taken down. This is the only way to have the reaction on YT :( the original reaction is on patreon
hey listen to the new album from eminem the death of slim shady coup de grâce🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@ukaszDziuma-xe5pb No comparison!
I grew up with this band. Their first two albums are masterpieces. Every song is fantastic. RIP Brad Delp
The soundtrack to my high school years.
Third stage was pretty good also, more ballads but still had some great tunes on it.
Don't forget RTZ with Brad Delp. Amazing!
Heck the third album was pretty damn good! Sure, not quite the first two, but it’s no slouch.
Now 73 and still love Boston. From New Zealand, December 2024.
One of the greatest rock anthems ever written!

This thing was on the radio ALL the time way back when. -- I never heard anyone complain about it.
When this came out in 1976 I was 17 years old. Imagine how amazing to have lived during this era of rock and roll.
Geez you're old. I was only 12.
Dang I'm 14 years old today I wonder how the Afros felt like ❤❤

Any backyard bbq HAD to have Boston playing brings back great memories.
Welcome down the rabbit hole of Boston! You will not be disappointed.
One of my all time favorite rock groups
This song and the whole album are FIRE. You have some really nice dance moves.
Boston still tours today with a female background singer. Sadly, their lead singer, Brad Delp, who you saw and heard here, passed away in 2007.
Hi beautiful love you and this group always great band and song RIP Brad Delp one best voices ever
This is song is Perfection!
this song been played everywhere for 50 years so it would be amazing if you had never heard at least part of it.
Probably the most recognizable intro to a song ever !
Great band from the 70's! Very popular at parties...upbeat and happy sounding! I enjoy your personality and reactions so much Inna and hope you have a great day!
One of the only bands that I've liked every album and every single song.

Peace of Mind from Boston is a must.
Back in the 70s when I used to listen to this at the concert, girls took their tops off that was amazing👍🏽 4:17
The whole album is king!
And she’s hooked 😂
Questo è veramente un brano bellissimo e intramontabile. Bella reaction

This is my favorite album of all time!
If you've watched the TV show Scrubs, this is the song that the Air Band plays in an episode. That might have been where you've heard it before.
CLASSIC!!! RIP Brad Delp🎸🤘If you want fun, check out Lynyrd Skynyrd Freebird, live in Oakland. Excellent guitar solo!🎸🤘
I can’t tell you how many times I played air guitar to this song since it was released.
I was in a group chat about music, and one of the younger folks asked, "So, why did people need 500 watt stereos back then?" I told them, "Because we had music that HAD to be listened to loud." Here's a great example.
I think Toyota used the chorus on a commercial a few years ago.
