Movie is awesome. I have liked many of your reviews sir but this review is very bad...We should encourage movies like these. Very good editing for this kind of story. After a long time a movie that shows love beautifully. Big actor like Dhanush choosing this kind of script instead of mass movie is by itself very healthy for tamil cinema... way to go for new stories like these....

Sir, the movie isn't as bad as you have depicted. The movie actually is really very nice,interesting and engaging. Probably one of the best movies which has period love story in the plot. Though 'Lucy' is very nice as you said,only ardent movie goers and cinema lovers will understand that kind of movie. But Anegan is filmed in such a way to suit typical Tamil audience, enjoyed by a small kid as well as elderly people. This is arguably the best love film of recent times.

I have to correct you, there was no MUNJENMAM, the story she read and heard all became her vivid imagination due to the prescribed drug. You could see in a scene that she had read about history of Burma and etc because of the books she had in her room, basically the books she read + drug made her think she was in Burma, King and etc. The director further proved this when Ashish Vidyarthi ended up as a good cop and the actress Uncle ended up being a good guys as well. So the Danga Mari dhanush character was also not Danush but someone else.
If its her illusion, then how come Karthik also shares it. He says that kaali and kalyani where lookalikes of ashwin and madhu... And thats the reason he hired her in first place...???
That is the part the only part that was true. Everything else was imagination, but the director did a good job on confusing people because the bad guy with scar on his face didn't show up in her real life till later but she had a vision of how he would look.
