    Dear Sir, dear company!
    I like your movies about the pinball restauration and of course your pinballs!
    I have seen until now the following: Roller Disco, Big Game and Haunted House! And it feels so good! You are a kind of ingeneering magic genius! I hope, you will do that a long time further! It's fantastic, that you although have a Pinball and arcade gameplay museum! You are so kind! When I had the possibility to come over the ocean to America, I would like to spend one day or maybe longer in the working place of your company! You make me so lucky! Kind Regards and sincerely yours,
    Karsten from Germany 👍🙋‍♂️

    What a great game, I remember playing it when I was a kid. You guys sure fixed it up! Looks great.
    I think I'm remembering correctly about the "downstairs" bonus/haunted level, that it was backlit only during certain events. (I thought it had multiball, too, but thanks for setting us straight on that matter.) Once the ball left the lower level, normal lighting resumed. This had the effect that the panel normally looked black and opaque, and it wasn't until backlit that it became was transparent and the player could see the lower level. There were enough triggering events that it would often take players by surprise, and in the middle of intense gameplay, they were liable to suddenly find themselves dropping through the floor into the Ghostworld, which was upside-down, backwards, and lit an otherworldly ghastly green. There really was something special about that experience. It was a very effective gimmick! Thanks for showing that bad boy off, it's a beaut.

    I had one of these in my basement when I was a wee lad and I remember thinking how cool of a game it was with the 3 levels and various hidden pathways. It broke after a while (surprise!) and it sat for a long time before my dad finally ended up selling it even though I pleaded for him not to. I really hope to add one to my own collection some day! Cool video, a little trip down memory lane for me!

    Growing up, my parents owned an ice-cream parlor, and In the back was an arcade room. There was a company that had an arrangement with my parents to supply the many popular games of the the 80s.... Pacman, Centipede, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, and many many others. Haunted House was one of the pinball machines.... If I could choose any of the games from the 80s.... This was my Fav! Scored some very high scores. :) Someday I would like to have one. Thanks for the memories. Also, I like it better without the voice.

    This table brings back fantastic memories for me. We had a small holidya home by the sea when I was a kid in the early 80's, and the arcade at the resort had one of these. I spent a lot of time playing it, very badly. But it fascinated me that there were 3 levels, I always remembered it very fondly.
    I would love to own one of these!

    OK I have a question. When I put LEDs into my Fireball Classic, they flicker. I guess it is the same with this one. Why does that happen?

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are getting a flicker, you either need to jump a low ohm resistor over each flickering bulb or buy a non flickering LED (that has the resistor built in---but they are more $$$)...they only seem to flicker on some games, and not in every socket either!

    That ground mod between the connectors on Gottlieb games, any more detailed explanation on how that is made? i was planning to do all those ground mods you talked about on my Volcano actually, but if i can just do that mod instead i would prob save myslef alot of soldering and wiring :)
    Also, any tip on what to look for/resolder on the System 80 soundboard if its totally dead?

    • @Shacklersrevenge1981
      @Shacklersrevenge1981 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Luzur Todd is usually very spot on about repairs and his knowledge, but this is one he is wrong on. There are many people that do not agree at all with just the extra lone wire, myself included. The reason you want to jumper each board is so that you are tied back individually to the ground plane in the bottom of the cabinet with each board. Doing the extra ground is fine on the inter connector, but it does not protect the other boards in the circuit. You can still have a fault with this method. The grounding mods are generally done as an insurance measure to the original connectors that fail.

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Charles Gerst actually....you can recharge that display yourself...and it will be as good as new. You simply have to put a standard 12 volt charger over the two END pins.....we basically attached two alligator clips on an unused charger that outputs 12 volts. we clip each wire to the END wires on the glass with the display not connected to the game. Plug charger in for 50 seconds (look at timer)....then turn off....put back in game...will probably be fully bright again! We plan on doing a video about this one day!

      Charles Gerst The black spots are manufacturing spots....and are normal! LOOK...no money needed...and those glasses are fine for years. OCCASIONALLY, we have had a display dim down quickly...it means its gassing out...but sometimes a second recharge is needed! I really need to do a video about it.
