Simon Miller is the only thing that keeps WhatCulture afloat everyone else there sucks
even SM sucks, but that's mostly because it's so obvious that he needs to make stuff up to make wrestling shows have more 'ups' than 'downs' because it's his job and if he doesn't he'll get fired or something similar maybe

In the Hispanic wrestling community there's the infamous case of Warge.
Warge is an Argentinian TH-camr who became famous because he was a troll (supposedly) and got more than 400K subscribers, becoming the most successful channel in Hispanic community.
Angel Garza wanted to support IWC in Spanish, so he participated in interviews, giving one to some users, Warge was one of them.
But here's the deal, Warge mock the other interviews, calling his interview "the real, objective and you should not watch the other of crap”, Garza take that serious and talk about it. Warge start to recibe hate and he sent a cringy audio to Garza telling him a lot of insults.
Warge is not the same after that.
JDFromNY is one of those guys whose content I can’t believe I used to watch. I guess I was young and stupid.

This is 2023 not 1973. The days of wrestlers getting physical with fans/marks is over. Wrestlers can talk big on social media to marks but that is as far as it will go today. Any physical manifestation of violence by a wrestler towards a fan would lead to that wrestler being charged with assault and their wrestling career being over. JD knows this, all the podcasters know they can walk the wrestlers up to the edge of the line knowing that the wrestler will never take the bait and step over it.
If he showed up at a show and people noticed him, I'm sure word would spread and people would get involved

I kinda had forgotten about the drama over the internet darlings show, it's one of those no one is more to blame the others. I will say as someone that has followed Brian Zane since basically the beginning of the channel, I think sometimes he doesn't choose his associates as carefully as he should.

What I will say, and this is no excuse as I have it myself, but Brian Zane is on the autism spectrum, and we do sometimes have shit judgement in character. I know a lot of autistic people, including myself, who have been taken advantage of by shitty people because we didn't see the red flags. A lot of autistic people can't read facial expressions or gauge tone, so it's hard for some to tell when others are genuine. Add onto that that he was excited to do his own thing for the first time and wanting to appease everybody(something a lot of people with autism have a tough time with because we don't want enemies, only friends) and it was a recipe for disaster. Like I said, I'm not making excuses for Brian. As an event organizer, he needed to realize those things up front and have a plan for if something like that happens. But I can understand where he is coming from as someone who is on the spectrum like myself.

JD has gotten more arrogant as his channel grew and he started doing commentary for the popular indy promotion in NYC. I used to watch him weekly but eventually fell off and got back to watching him once in a blue moon in 2022. I liked some of his opinions but he can be big headed and disrespectful. He really thinks he knows it all about pro wrestling because he has been watching it for 30+ years but can quickly degrade someone of equal time as a fan or even veterans of the business. The Alexa Bliss incident is just the most infamous as there are plently more scuffles has had with wrestlers and TH-camrs
i totally agree, his arrogance and ego are beyond words. He thinks he knows the ins and outs of the business better than most people. The way he leans back in his chair with that smug smile, so punch able The problem is that he has his own little fan base who take his word as gospel and will back him no matter what he says. He is a fuckin clown
I have no problem with him giving his opinions, I’m all for freedom of expression. But JD takes things just a step too far sometimes. I actually had to stop following him, because I felt too much negativity watching his videos & it started to rub off on me. He just felt a bit too toxic for my taste.
I think the only other wrestling TH-camr I stopped following because of stuff like this was Dalyxman.

I have the same feelings about Cornette. I'll watch a video every now and then, because I do still find him occasionally funny and has a great mind for the business, but I can't watch regularly. Makes me feel that I'm becoming a negative person

It's funny how it's OK to go after a wrestler the IWC doesn't like when they do something bad until they are banned forever.

The difference is that Adam took a lengthy break from everything for about 2 1/2 -- 3 years and looked happier than ever to do what he loves. No one that's somewhat well known on the Internet, takes that long of a break unless it's something they have to deal with.
I'm happy to see Adam Blampied's return. He was always my favorite from WhatCulture.
WhatCulture was never the same after the Cultaholic crew and Adam Blampied left. A few of the new presenters were great, but it lost so much of the personality behind the brand when they all left.

1. I would call Kevin Scampoli a joke but that would require him to be funny.
2. JD is someone who you would subscribe to because his baboonish ranting is entertaining at first but then you realize that his channel is all about the yelling and ranting and then a quick unsub. The main problem I have with JD is that it's Ok that he's not a fan of Alexa Bliss. People have their likes and dislikes but JD always has to take it to the next level where it is offputting. Brian has done a few dickheaded things though. They're always small and mostly without much consequence, but nonetheless. His reviews of AEW typically feature a number of lies by omission, or outright misrepresentations; that typical "there's no story for this feud", when what he actually means is "I don't like the story".

i checked out wrestling nowadays (havent watched raw since they bought wcw) and omg those women wrestlers are just terrible imo. constant screw ups, hits that are a mile away from landing, just not good. they look hot but mostly wrestle for shit from the small sample i got. it didnt make me wanna watch raw again thats for sure.

Adam Blampied really hit an embarrassing low point in his life. But he owned up to mistakes, made the correct choice to leave TH-cam for years, cleaned up his act, got adopted by Eric Bischoff, and returned better than ever. He was the best wrestling TH-camr back then and he's still the best wrestling TH-camr today.
