How are you going to know where the new bulbs are when you go to plant the daffodils?

Will you leave all those bulbs in the ground year-round? Especially the daff/tulip mixes? I'm in 8a, too, and tulips are not great repeat bloomers.
Everything except the tulips will be perennials for me, but the tulips are annuals for us.
