I like your homemade feeders. We have new quail (first timers) and have been looking at lots of ideas to make feeding better and easier. I like the idea of this round feeder so much better than the shoebox version. Also thank you for saying where to put the holes and adding the 2x4. That's very helpful. We built a walk-in aviary for ours and will have the batchlers in pens that are inside the aviary but the flock will have access to the whole aviary and be on the ground. I'm hoping that will do what I envision for the birds but if I need to switch to a full cage system, I will just place that inside the aviary and it will look much like yours. Thanks again. God bless.
Great tips on those feeders! I appreciate all the DIY projects and ideas for sure. And smart thinking on saving the powdery leftovers for a snack at some point!! I sift the starter feed into two buckets… the fine, small stuff I use for chicks 1-10 days old and the leftover bigger crumbles for anything over 10 days old. No more grinding into smaller crumbles.
Thanks so much for the video!! Very interested in what you come up with for treats to reuse the leftover "dust" from feed. I have the same issue and would love some ideas on how to process the "dust" so it does not go to waste.
Wow! And they're so simple looking. Brilliant!
thank you for the tour! i love Lily. What a nice hen! I have some dog treat jars I am saving to make the no waste feeders.
Great! Hoped it helped some :) Iilly may end up going in a separate cage as a pet lol 😀 anyway I can help just ask :)
I like your ideas friend, for this subscribed no 198 and expect to see more videos , thanks for sharing!!
Matt this was great. Love the feeders in the hutches with the PVC pipes. That’s a great system!
