I did my postdoc at Univ Miami Med School, Dept Peds, lived in Coral Gables, and rode the "little tram". I dont miss it a bit-not the best of times, and torturously hot!!
Earlier, the sunscreen I was using led to acne. I then switched to the riceberry sunscreen by littlllextra, and it works well and hasn’t led to breakouts. It provides SPF 50+ protection against both UVA and UVB rays and absorbs fast and provides adequate moisture. Its black rice water is valued in Korean skincare routines. I’m really fond of using it.
I have used Rice Berry sunscreen, and it is actually extremely light and nourishing. It sinks in just a few seconds. I will also continue purchasing it.

About 25 years ago a friend told me she used scented garbage bags when she moved, and I've done it ever since for five multi-state and three international moves. Days before the movers arrive I place each stack of shirts, sweaters, underwear, etc. in its own bag and tie a knot in the top and put the bag back in the drawer. On move day the movers can quickly grab and box up the bags. The movers don't touch my clothes and everything comes out smelling great on the other end. Win-win. It makes unpacking easy too. I pull each bag out of the box, place it in the drawer, unknot the top, slide the bag down, and I"m done. I use the vanilla scent from Color Scents.
Regarding Vornado fans: can confirm they're awesome!
Awhile ago, I got a big one on a stand. It's way more powerful than any other fans I have or had, and yet it is quieter! Love it. It has improved my life since there's no A/C where I'm at. But the power of the Vornado really, really moves the air through the whole apartment giving me relief even on the hottest days.
The toilet paper roll extenders don't make the roll holders longer, it gives them a pivot so that the fatter rolls can stick out a bit and actually roll even if they don't fit fully in the wall holder. I had the exact same issue with the same type of inset toilet paper wall mount. They work and are designed for exactly your problem.

I love the Hefty vanilla lavender garbage bags. They are quite often sold out. I have 2 cats so helps with keeping my apartment smelling clean.

Regarding TP roll extenders: they push the roll out from the wall so the bigger rolls CAN turn. They are regular length side to side.
Miami person here. I always recommend people to come in that time of the year because the heat and humidity are less. It is true that you need a car to move along here.

Costco is one of my favorite stores and I love when you take us along with you. I buy a lot of my bedding there and love their throws. I love that fan too! It’s loud but it’s so much better than a regular fan in that it moves the air around but doesn’t annoyingly buffet. It just feels like a breeze.
Okay so dishwasher pods, the Safeway brand dishwasher pods perform better than the Finish ones, in my experience.
As for toothpaste, my dads a dentist and he highly recommends toothpaste with stannous fluoride (Not sodium fluoride). It works better and targets more areas of your mouth. Gums, plaque, sensitivity, cavities, enamel. Sodium fluoride only prevents cavities. It used to be what everyone used but it's one drawback is it can cause teeth staining. Modern toothpaste with it has whiteners now that prevent the staining, so it's becoming more popular again. Just an FYI :)

Fun fact. Silver doesn’t oxidize if you use it. You only need to polish it if it sits in a drawer except for special occasions.

I agree w/you about long hair. I've worn mine long the majority of my life & always will. I find it much easier than short hair. I love to wear mine up. I have a variety of clips, hair sticks, French hair prongs.

Silica (“crystal”) cat litter has been an absolute game changer for the dampness in certain areas in our home. You can make little sachets and put it under the sinks or behind the toilet- you can even put your phone in it if it gets wet. It’s amazing. Every home should have a bag.
Yeah that's what they say raw rice does but I'm going to keep this in mind too, it's worth a try . Those damprid kits are expensive and absorb water so fast and then you need a new one

Hitchcock furniture is great - so nice that you like vintage! I bought one of those small dehumidifiers on Amazon for an upstairs bathroom that takes forever to dry out when it's humid. I've found it more cost effective than buying Damp Rid over and over again. Great video! Have a nice weekend!

I’m right there with you on scented bathroom garbage bags! I bought them once, pulled one out and recycled the whole box.
Your coffee grinder needs cleaning. As a former coffee professional, I recommend you get a grinder brush and brush out the coffee grounds from around the rim and under & around the blades over the sink. Wipe out the bowl & removable cup with a soft cloth or paper towel. Done! Love you & this channel, Dr Dray!

Thank you for stopping me try the Mixsoon. I have been using both snail mucin Cosrx for quite some time now. I have good skin but sensitive and now just use copper peptide from The ordinary along with snail mucin and at night use The newest Ordinary retinal and my skin has never looked better!
Threw out all the crap I have given into over time which was such a waste and sticking to this new routine.

We've had probably three to four HVAC companies due to our moves and each different HVAC technician has told us to get the cheap and see-through furnace filters. We were buying the 1200 or higher Filtrete Brand and now my husband just gets the cheap ones from a hardware store.

The TP holder extenders hold the larger rolls further away from the wall so they can turn freely.
DOC ! Not sure you understand how the TP roll extenders work. I have an old house with the same “built-in” TP holders. The extenders bring the roll out from the wall so even the Mega rolls fit just fine. Give it a try and you can thank me later😂
The Mixsoon soy bean serum acts more like a peeling gel if you continue to rubbing it in to your skin. I think if you were makeup it makes for a great primer base.

I agree! Scented trash bags are the worst thing ever!! I threw away an entire box one time and I’m not a wasteful person. I like controlled fragrance the candle at shoes, but not crappy since everywhere and most of them are overpowering and just stink. Also, clean doesn’t have a smell!

I agree about the mixsoon bean essence! It feels hydrating at first, but then it feels kind of… greasy? I love the rest of their line though, ESPECIALLY their hyaluronic acid glacier water serum. Sooo hydrating!
Just came back from Costco this morning. I buy my usual stuff once a month but you don't know how much I hate going there tho. It's worse than going to the mall, too much people inside of a building like we were a bunch of rats in a cage. However, It opens at 9 am (Québec city, CA) and I went there around 8:45 because I thought it would be empty but when it opened it was already full in the parking lot and inside too within 10 min 😫😫😫 I will try next time 15 min before closing.
I don’t have understand the lure of Costco. They sell mostly unnecessary stuff in huge quantities. No fresh produce and certainly no locally grown produce. Who needs all that stuff? Seems like a waste of money to me.

I got those rechargeable lights and I wouldn’t recommend. The charge definitely didn’t last 6 months, more like 2 weeks of use for a few minutes at nighttime. If you’re okay recharging those lights every two weeks or potentially less time than that, then they’re probably a good fit but not for me.
Yea I'm.confused how they can only last six months if they're using a rechargeable battery.
