I buy the M&S thick white. I’m not normally a fan of white bread but I like it occasionally. As you say it’s the best for ingredients. As for the contents - you know your children better. My daughter hardly eats at school. She’s now back on school dinners but I know when I did packed lunches she hardly ate. They become too preoccupied. Good variety anyways xx

Your kids are well fed and not starved!! My eldest (turning 13 on monday) doesn't eat anything at school as his medication makes him not hungry (I wish he would still eat though) my youngest eats about the same amount or less than yours (he is the fuss bum age 8.5) and my almost 11 yr old daughter eats a heap but will eat whatever I give her (including healthy stuff) and she's like a bean

I cant belueve someone actually thinks you afford trips out days away and holidays by not feeding the kiddos big enough portions or good quality products obviously not true and if they knew you they would know full well your familys wellbeing is your sole purposr in life ...... i wish that people could concentrate on their own children and lives pxx
They sound completely off their rocker and too involved in other people's lives. How sad 😔 But yes, just imagine if I could only afford trips out by not feeding the kids 🤣 we'd be at Disney all the time, wouldn't we! 😆 My kids look half-starved don't they 😂😂xxx
There seems to be sensory issues. You can take a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. At the end of the day it’s on them to eat. You keep their aversions in mind when you prep a meal.

I love how people think YOUR lunches for YOUR kids are too small 😂, maybe for THEIR kids they are, but I think you know how much your kids will eat to feel satisfied haha. God they should see how much my kids have for lunch sometimes they’d be absolutely outraged if they think yours is too small 😂
In 1978 I took to lunch a ham sandwich on white which was just a single slice of kraukus ham and some mayo, a small bag of crisps and either carton of milk from school or a juice box from home, 6-8oz in a brown lunch bag with a paper towel. I had to add more for my son as he was given snack time. For camp especially. Least they told me first day. He had a sandwich, snack size bag of grapes (16) and snack size bag of apples with a small water bottle. So I figured he had 2 snacks. I guess we know why kids weigh more today with that not being enough? My son is skinny, sort of kidding there. We were not allowed to add things like a cookie to that lunch bag for school. So his home from school snack would be the cookie. Was not allowed to send crisps to school. I think pretzels okay. So random. He could buy them in cafeteria which was odd. The snack in the classroom was the strict requirement and since he got chastised once over a cookie on a day he had two produce items for pity sakes I would not put in school lunch anything not allowed in the classroom. The cafeteria the only rule was no pop and no candy. But I didn’t want him to grab the wrong item and get told off.
I try not to put sweet treats in their lunchboxes too much because, as you say, when they get home, they want a snack, so they have their treat when they're home x

My kids always come home and want a snack, but they're never ravenous, so I guess their lunches are OK for them 😊 xx

You'll know if their hungry as they'd come home starving. My kids have hollow legs, unless the only option is the fruit bowl 😂
Oh yeah for sure! If they say 'I'm hungry' and all I say is -'have some fruit' they are miraculously no longer hungry 🤣🤣
