They had been married for 12 years, with 3 children, and he had cheated twice and she left him, but he begged her to return and she did. She found out he was again cheating with the woman with whom he had the first affair, so she decided to leave him for good this time, filing for a divorce. He killed her when she served him the papers herself, and dumped her body.
They were both very successful in their medical areas, and were individually very wealthy. He was an acclaimed neurosurgeon, very exceptionally skilled, and well-loved by his patients as a very caring physician. She was a well-loved and respected family medicine physician, also having received praise and recognition from her peers. Yet he decided to kill her, ending up in prison and leaving the children without both parents. It came to light that from the beginning he was very controlling and narcissistic, with a personality disorder.
