Rishab, thank you for the complete description of to do a PDI. Have a question for you. What if I find a fault like repainted or broken parts, do I demand a car replacement or go for part replacement?
Notes:-
1. Do inspection in proper daylight.
2. Check all lights.
3. Check scratch etc on tyres, suspension etc.
4. Check chrome handles.
5. Check roof screw etc.
6. Check back viper.
7. Check badges on back. It should not be sicked with fevi stick etc.
8. Check scratches on bumper etc.
9. Check manufacturing month, ask form-22 of the vehicle from dealer.
10. Check odometer, should be below 100km in all case.
11. Check spare tyre.
12. Check hazard kit.
13. Check backlight, reverse light, parking sensors and indicators.
14. Check door, rubber bands, if loose, it means it's replaced.
15. Stickers etc should not have beend replaced.
16. Check touch screen, click on all areas of touch screen., Check all speakers.
17. Check ac, fan speed, ac buttons.
18. Check cabin lights, mood lights.
19. Check power windows and mirrors.
20. Check seatbelt buttons.
21. Check armrest, should be stable.
22. Check key controls, alarm etc.
23. Check engine. Should not have extra joints. Check battery. Battery should not have corrosion. Take warranty of battery from dealer.
24. Check horn.

1. Take along a USB drive to test the car’s music system.
2. Look for dents, scratches or marks, if any.
Spot the differences in the shade of color on different body panels, if any.
3. Check every window and windowpane corners for the manufacturer's mark to ensure that the batch number and year of manufacture is same and correct.
4. Walk around the car again to take photos. One from each side - front, back, left, right
And an angular shot from all the corner
5. Open the bonnet and inspect:
Cut/re-assembled wires
Oil spill signs
Damaged plastic parts
Correct levels of engine oil, coolant, break fluid, windscreen washing fluid.
6. As the engine, the boot space should also be clean. Inspect the boot for:
Toolkit (if provided)
Jack and Spanner
Stepney
Damaged plastic parts
Cut/re-assembled wires
7. Check all the tyres including spare one and wheels for any cuts. Spare wheel should look absolutely new and unused and properly fixed.
8. Ensure that all the doors, bonnet lid and boot lid, open and close easily. There should be no scratch marks on the edges and signs of tampering with the rubber piping.
9. Make sure all the door locks open and close smoothly. Also check the remote key locking system and driver's controls, if your car has central locking system.
10. Inspect whether or not, each window rolls up and down easily. Check the controls on all the doors and the driver's window, if the car has power windows
11. Investigate the inside of the car to ensure everything looks brand new without marks or scratches. Go through:
Dashboard
Roof liner
Doors
Seats
12. Check the odometer and ensure that it reads under 50 kms.
13. Start the car and test all the electrical components for your satisfaction. Test the:
Air conditioner
Music system
Horn
Headlights
Tail lights
Brake lights
Parking lights
Wipers
14. Confirm from the dealer that all the accessories you have purchased are installed prior to delivery.
15. Go through all the music system functionalities carefully:
Check all the ports such as CD, USB, Radio, Aux input, etc.
Test all the controls.
Set the system at your preferred volume and test the speakers through the fader controls for any crackling or disturbance.
16. With the sales executive in the passenger seat next to you, test drive the car again to test suspensions, acceleration and braking of the car and let him brief you about all the features and the way to use them correctly.
17. Test the gear shift and make sure you are able to shift through each gear easily.
18. Study all the documents such as:
Form 22 to check the manufacturing month of vehicle
All payment receipts
Invoice and Sale Certificate
Owner’s manual and manuals for other equipment
Insurance Policy
RC Book / Registration Copy or Temporary Registration
PUC Certificate
Car Warranty documents
Warranty card for the music system
Warranty card for the battery
Warranty card for the tyres
19. Double-check whether the spelling of your name on the documents is correct or not.
20. Verify that the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), vehicle registration number, Engine Number, and Chassis Number are correctly mentioned.
21. Ask for the duplicate key to the car and ensure you can lock , unlock and start the car with it. That’s it! Share the sweet with the people around and drive off with your brand new ride.

To put it simply :
* Check whether all features/components are functioning well
* There are no scratches/dents on the body.
* The car is new i.e manufactured recently {about past 3-4 months is fine}(ask for form 22) and check how much the car has run. If it is more than 60-70 you should question (if the stock yard is far, it may be a genuine reason).
Few important point missed... Like brake fluid and engine oil fluid check

I have heard from creta owners about bad brakes on Creta in the past especially during panic braking. Does this new car also has this issue or it is resolved by the company ?

One of my friend took delivery of Honda car which later used to give problem in starting after ignition..
It's always better to check before than having to regret afterwards..
Cars today are highly technology driven. Checklist cannot do justice. I recenely bought my Tata Harrier and I hired Zekardo PDI to conduct the PDI for my new car. They found issues with my car not only in sensor but also discovered that the car had a meter rollback since dealer did not have demo car so they had used my car as demo car. I cancelled my car and then got a new car after that. They again came to do the PDI and when it got cleared by them, i bought the car. Highly recommended to every car buyer. THey are the only company to conduct PDI for new car in India.

It looks like you are just winging it. I think this should be a more "organized and procedural" check with a checklist of items. Otherwise it's very easy for one to miss a few items here and there. Anyways, I'm no car expert. It's just my suggestion.

What to do if there is minor scratch on body?
Agr body per minor scratches hai delivery lene ke time to aap dealer ko bol kr car ko change kra sakte hai, Isliye car ki delivery lene se pehle 1 ya 2 hours pehle chale jae aur car ko ache se check kree.
Aap discount bhi le sakte ho.meri i20 pr halka sa scratch tha mujhe 6500 ka discount mil gya tha.pr iske liye banda solid hona chahiye.
Please add Tyre pressure check as part of PDI, normally while shipping manufacturers put higher pressure in tyres, it is responsibility of dealers to set the right pressure before delivery, but this guy's will not do that. this is very important and I have this kind of bad experience while taking delivery of my car

Well ideally the partners are to be fine after PDI, but if you have already posted, then ask dealer to replace the vehicle if the damages are worse
Please provide details on how to deal with the dealer if found something wrong, kaunse parts ke liye kaise deal karna chaiye?
In every case just ask him and the car will be changed, delivery date will be affected but you will get the right car.
