Japanese drag cars run 5s and 6s seconds in the 1/4mi with door slammers stock chassis and 1/3 the engine size so the whole engine is under the hood. These cars need full custom tube frames and half the engine sticking over the roof to run the same e/t
All depends on the rules. They vary between different types of power adders. All things equal, Blower & nitrous cars are typically faster in the first 330ft or so but turbo cars are top end chargers, they mph! What they give up out of the hole they can make up down track and drive around the other guy. This isn't set in stone or anything but thats the stereotype.
@@mytmousemalibu brother i owned a turbo car and a supercharged car ... With both cars i have wins vs a turbo and a supercharged cars ... My point is ..its all on that how you build it ... And if its 11 000 hp its just fast .. Doesnt matter if its turbo or charger. And lets dont forget ... Fastest dragsters are with blowers .
@@SuperViktorov I have a pretty good understanding of it all. I was the Crew Chief & Engine builder for our 69 Nova promod. 526ci Arias/Fontana blown hemi. Beyond that, spent a little time with an A/Fuel crew and worked for one of the winningest NHRA comp/super comp engine builders in history. Its in my blood more than you know.
Look up natty racing 5.54 1/4mi. Using 1/3 the engine size so whole engine stays under the hood. These guys need half the engine over the roof and cant even beat the 6 cyl 2jz toyota engine.
I personally just enjoy the noise of a supercharger I know these cars are loud enough to cancel that out but it’s still a nice noise to hear 😂
That's why I always sit near the finish line if there's a bunch of blower cars. Almost nothing but blower whine until they're passing you.
I love the smell and the noise and the fire these cars produce it must of been epic to be their in person and to see it all
prob one of the best videos on TH-cam displaying the sickest of doorslammers on the planet
Keziah/Mitchell, that car is a player!
Major props to this video. Thanks for this edit!

You can't go wrong with 1/4 mile Drag Racing! Forget the 1/8 mile bs.
Can't wait for the turbo/Procharged cars compilation
Thanks for Watching everyone!
TheRacingVids Thanks for showing some cars I've never witnessed
you get most of this footage at a PDRA event? I'm a photographer/ Media personal that's how I know of all these racers, their all great people.
Great information!
Love the look and sound of cars with blowers.
th-cam.com/video/WbUW50D6EO0/w-d-xo.html Give a listen
@@davesracingchannel9261 I just did that thing is badass, love the way it's got that surge.
The biggest supercharger ain’t really making the most sound but the most power. I see so silence is the only way to crank the horsepower numbers up😂
th-cam.com/video/WbUW50D6EO0/w-d-xo.html
Exactly 👍🏼 not all the supercharger have the loudest whine but they can make more power then the ones that do whine super loud
Can't wait for next season at MIR
Trigger happy it's a very good facility

Yep.....satisfying
My dad is at 9.00
The driver or the guy on the crew?
Justin Johnson the driver
Your dad is a badass. Even if I could afford to build and own a car that fast I still think I'd be terrified to drive it. And I love fast cars
Thats a beautiful car right der

th-cam.com/video/WbUW50D6EO0/w-d-xo.html Check out this Blown Ford its BADASS!!!
i saw an 871 blower with a single carb on it - what would be the advantage / disadvantage of a single carb - less horse for sure

I just died & went to heaven.
Anyone know what engines and superchargers they were using?
Most likely a v8 and the superchargers are in the title screw or roots blower " a blower Is another name for superchargers
@@MindfulAura73 what is the model name for each engine and supercharger then since that's what my original question was
@@manuelsilva3365 I'm not sure
What’s better overall blower or twin turbo ?

Turbos have more power but they take a while to get that power and blowers are almost instant boost, so they are pretty equal but I prefer blowers
14 people were blown away
