oh my god. i have a very weird relationship with this book. For the long story; as a typical 13 yo, i was very depressed and insecure, but i was very proud of my ability to speak english, as a french teen. My last year of middle school, i had the opportunity to have a penpal, whom was gonna visit france later in the year. When they came over with the rest of their school, i thought they were so cool, and they gifted me this book. They told me it was their favorite and i felt so amazing ! After they left, i tried so hard to read it but i just... couldn't. i felt bad for MONTHS. i think i've never told them. And, today, i want ot know what this fucking book is about. fuck my 13 yo bruised ego and insecure ass. it's time to learn and grow. i'm 16 and i can proudly say, FUCK GIVING UP EASELY. NEVER GIVE UP ON THE FIRST TRIES. IT'S WORTH THE FRUSTRATION.
