Gem of a concert for 1 hour. As someone mentioned, what amazes me is their exemplary aesthetic sense. Both Kaanada and Kaambhoji were extremely divine and entertaining as well. Brilliant minds. I must say "Sampoorna Saraswathi Kataksham".
Finally, young talent that will make a difference! You are visiting the silences, like the best performers did. Learn to inhabit them. Music has to be felt & thought out, not blindly learnt & performed as a visual medium. Again, look to build on past tradition, not bypass it. No kriti or raga can be discarded as tired or worn out, if it is revived, according to one's discipline & passion. Bravo, young men. It will be a pleasure & hopefully a privilege to watch your musical odyssey.
These kind of talented musicians should be given minimum 2 hours slot. No justification to restrict them to 1 hour slot, given that this is only a recorded online concert only.

Superb performance in Kanada (Mamava Sada Janani) and Kambodhi (Marakathavallim) alapana and song rendition by flute as well as violin. Excellent mridangam accompaniment👏👏👏
They played a lovely concert in Musiri Chamber, many years ago... Their talent and musical strength could be felt even then... Their music has only grown to be much more solid & fluid... So enjoyable
Wonderful kambhoji but i feel there is an unwanted involvement of violin in the swara prasthanam of duos.. That involvement slightly destroys the soothy effect of those flute duo's..

Both violin and mridangam could be better in sruti. in earlier days even best accompanists adjusted themselves to the main artists. but here both the accompanists are keen to maintain only their own pitch and not harmonize. and the violin is a bit too loud on overall. but this seems to be new trend nowadays in carnatic recitals. in most programs violins are placed unnecessarily higher in volume. probably the concept of tuning ourselves to wind instruments has not evolved as much as in other countries.
