Something a lot of people aren't aware of is that Gunwook's main thing IS rapping. He didn't show nearly as much of his rapping skills on BP than on Wild Idol (other survival show he was on.) I'd assume it was a choice because like you guys said, most of the songs are vocal focused with little raps.
Yes, because i know gunwook for his rapping in wild idol. Pretty happy for his show his dance and vocal in BP though. Since he was known for his rap before. So yeah he is an excellent all rounder
well let’s hope he sings more than rap in zb1. bring back vocal based boygroups!
the thing with keita was even though he was #1 in global for the previous 2 elims was because the fans were able to pick multiple trainees, but the last one you were only allowed to pick one so alot of people picked keita as their 2/3 trainee had another pick and keita dropped to 12th place so his votes are the people who actually are keita stans
Another thing is his lack of Korean voters. Keita had the 2nd least amount of Korean votes (ranking him #17 in Korean votes). Jay was at #18. If they just had at least a bit more support in Korea they could’ve made it!
No what actually happened was Japanese are the one who votes most from global .. and Japanese mostly voted gunwook and Matthew and third keita .. if Japanese ppl didn’t split their vote and voted keita no1 from Japan he would obviously make it but again top 9 are deserving it’s just more numbers of member should have given chance to be debuted like top 12
too little Korean votes and the Japanese voters aren't helping either.
@@kpopislifeline4445 Japanese votes actually mostly went to Zhang hao, Matthew, Gunwook and Keita. During the 9-6-3 picks Keita could easily be the filler votes for Japanese because he is Japanese. But Japanese apparently vote for their op only in the end maybe they were afaird Xiaoting happened to their op again.

whats crazy to me is that i feel like i didn't see a whole lot of Gyuvin's personality shine on the show but he is clearly loved by all of the trainees because they all ran to him and hugged him tight and jumped up and down with him as they were being announced... so he must have been super close to a lot of them!! i can't wait to see his personality shine in the group because i think he will be a great addition as a support system for his team! :)
he became loved mostly because of the extra clips mnet posted during the show, there’s a lot of them and that’s how a lot of people got to know the trainees and gyuvin has such a cute goofy and entertaining personality that people fell for him
seeing junhyeon cry over gunwook and gunwook only crying when mentioning gunwook made me cry so much like always seeing the happy sunshine puppy boy show any bit of sadness makes me tear up automatically
honestly after seeing the actual vote results it all makes sense, keita wasn’t first for global votes anymore, he was 4th and he also fell to last in korean votes, rank where jay was previously in
jay surpassed keita in korean AND global votes but both were overall lower than the top 9
Ricky is also famous for his visual in Korea. So, he could debut. + because Wang zihao failed to show in the final, China's votes went to Jhang hao and Ricky.

As a Geonppangdan i love seeing people love Gunwook so much, i'm so happy that he made it, he deserves all the good things, i'm so excited for their debut!! Also Gunwook is an amazing rapper, he is def a main rapper, he started as a rapper, he writes his raps, he was praised by a lot of rappers and in wild idol he was the best one, he is second best rapper in Boys Planet is just that he didn't showed it that much
I had the same reaction when Zhang Hao won😂 he is up there representing all g-group trainees. If you see the reaction of the eliminated g-trainees you can see they are all happy and crying for Zhang Hao. Everyone please leave nice comments for Zhang Hao in their first live please. Koreans are already hating him for being a foreigner and for belonging to g-group

before 9th place announced the stadium was already shouting han yujin and that's korea so many of them support han yujin as he is loved in korea

Love your reactions! Yeah, the final was sooooo confusing for me as well because I swear everyone in the final lineup are all soo talented. My heart broke soo much for the rest 9 people like I love Jongwoo's deep rap sooo much, and Keita's rap flow + he can sing in his own vibe as well, and then ofc course Jay with his extremely great vocals like I was really looking forward how the final group would've sound if Jay made it, and then Kamden impressed me so much during Switch cause he got the chic rap vibes, and Seungeon's vocals has been serving sooo much for the past evaluations, Jonghyun really did grow on me cause that boy can do everything, and then PHanbin's stage presence is soo strong + he even got chosen by the trainers, Junhyeon keeps surprising me again and again with how different he can be on stage + he got solid vocals and could really help alleviate the awkwardness of the group earlier if he had made it and finally our Hui he's just perfect + experienced
But then again, I'm also happy for the final line-up for ZB1. For someone to go up to the top9, another need to go down so there's really nothing that can be done. I just wish everyone the best!

i feel of of all of the produce seasons, this one really would have benefitted from an 11/12 person line-up because all of the the trainees in the final were absolutely incredible, and no matter who debuted the group was always going to be amazing!
i'm looking foward to seeing what zb1 get up to and i'm absolutely keeping up with the others who didn't make the group!
hopefully they all continue to shine on stage in the future!!

Having my 1-pick eliminated before the finale (Woongki) just made the finale and lineup much more enjoyable as I had no-one to root for and was okay with whatever happened... I'm sad Woongki didnt make it but at least the bandage was ripped off early and I didnt suffer I the finale.

Tbh the amount of rapping kind of felt similar to produce48 which was the produce season with the least amount of rapping literally.. then again maybe that was their focus and maybe the image of the final group will not be as rap focused and mainly a vocal and dance focused. Which was the case with izone.

Estamos contentas con el grupo final. Lo q pasa es q creemos que el show no hizo buen trabajo de enseñar a los raperos y su potencial ya que las misiones que les daban no se enfocaban en eso. Hasta lo poco q enseñaron a Keita rapeando no le hizo justicia y obviamente menos a Gunwook y eso que es all rounder.
El show no le hizo justicia a Gunwook con sus raps (él también los escribe) pero ahora que debutó, les callará la boca a todos los que dicen «no hay raperos en el grupo»

i'm actually happy with the line up, it's actually the perfect line up (it's just sad that keita wasn't able to debut, he was on the 12th place T_T) same with paola since i'm also a gunwook and matthew stan i want nothing else but the two of them to debut together, for the main rapper thing it's gotta be gunwook he's an all rounder yeah if you check wild idol he was on the top in terms of rapping so it's gotta be him but we need more gunwook as a vocalist he has such wonderful vocals he just didn't have much chance to show it on BP, people should watch his performances in wild idol you can see there how much talented he is, i'm so happy and zb1 will surely be a big and successful group for sure in the future!!

Honestly with this top 18, I was fine with whatever lineup we got. I personally would only stan if Jay or/and Keita were in the group, which they aren't haha. So I'll just casually check out ZB1. I definitely think fans got comfortable with Keita and put their votes somewhere else to other member who almost fell out the top 9 previously or did fall out (like Matthew and Gunwook respectively).
My only issue with this lineup is that they lack a strong rap line. Now that in itself is not the issue for me, but it's that I know they're going to make some of the members who are better vocalists rap. For example, I disliked in Wanna One when they first made Kang Daniel rap and not sing (like in Energetic). He is imo a much better vocalist than rapper. With ZB1, I really hope they just make them a mostly vocal group. The only real strong rapper imo is Gunwook. If you want rap then let Gunwook rap. Don't make Yunjin rap, don't make Gyuvin rap, don't make Matthew rap, etc. They're much better vocalists than rappers. Jiwoong is the only other member where I'm like "yeah, let him rap". But not every song needs a rap break haha.
