@@metalsoup88you can think whatever you want, but Overkill and other similar bands of this era were totally influenced by European bands. American heavy metal in early 80s = Kiss, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister etc
Overkill = Overplagiarism They frickin’ copied Slayer’s Die By The Sword riff and went so far as to stealing Metallica’s Master Of Puppets Riff 3 times! *_3 TIMES!!!_* Ok jk lol Overkill rules🤘 Best thrash band
@Len Connor Ok so for the Die By The Sword part, the opening riffs in both songs sounds very similar with just a few notes removed in Rotten To The Core. As for the three Master Of Puppets riffs, the main riff in Elimination is the most well known one. The riff at 0:09 in Hello From The Gutter has the same motif as MOP as well as similar notes in a higher range. And in Rotten To The Core, the 0:42 riff sounds a lot like the MOP riff Also, hopefully you knew that my comment was a joke. Overkill is still my favorite thrash band
Probably my fav overkill song
Juan my favorite is, overkill song, that riff is killer!
This song sounds like it should have been on Slayer's "Show No Mercy"
Main riff is basically die by the sword with a few less notes
2:40 sound like part of metal Storm Face the Slayer
a pure masterpiece
SuperSomeone777 exactly right, you're right way!
Rot rot rot - to the core!
so underrated
Tim Hollis yeah. Pretty much but for me, even cult classic album!
One my favorites songs in album but main favorite is, Overkill song.
Macho huevos Overkill!!! Un saludo.
maniacest laughjing ever! \m/
This song is really groovy
intro sounds like a razor song
the live version of this on fuck you is also awesome
lol it does lol or Micky Mouse laughing lol.
Noticed NWOBHM style, sound so much Bruce Dickinson but this is more crazier, ahahahahah.
I would like to think that this is all American Heavy Metal without any British “help”to keep it clean 🧼
