That's what I did when my kids were little, the good ornaments were up high & wooden ornaments below. Although they were good & knew we look at the tree, no touch. Once they were old enough to help decorate they appreciated it more.

I used to be very neutral even for Christmas, like I like a neutral Modern decor in my house over all and that extended to Christmas decor until two years ago my now 15 year old son told me mom why don’t you use color for Christmas , I want a traditional Christmas tree like the ones in the movies with lots of red lol and green and a star on the top lol so for the last two years my house has color all over Only for Christmas lol and I have to say it’s has grown on me lol I love it now!!

Love the pink deer. We went to Hobby lobby over a month ago and I picked out the things that I wanted for this year and when I went back the other day I was out of all of them that’s how fast stuff as flying off the shelves, but I did find some replacements that I love.
First of all, my daughter is 20 and away at college, and I still have a pink tree in her room. She loves it. Second of all STOP IT now I want to buy more (and I’ve already bought too much). I want those present candle holders!

I liove the gold present lanterns from Home Goods and was lucky enough to find one size at my local home goods but what I didn't like was the black ombre glass cylinders that come with them.😢I would prefer clear glass.
