0:32 - Lovecraft says specifically that Miskatonic University and the town of Arkham are both located in Essex County, Massachusetts (which is a real county). The "Miskatonic River", had it existed, would have been a small tributary of the Essex River as well.
Miskatonic County is a thing though in Lovecraft Mythos. It's just another term for Lovecraft Country. There is no real real county or country called either of those. They are collective names for the fictional versions of the parts of New England where the stories take place.

Onauc C wouldn’t filling in the gaps while learning yourself be reading though? This is a guy telling it to you, doesn’t really take any effort on your part lol
I have a very important question: Is Arkham a big town, or is it pictured as being rinky-dink aside from its university? This is important for something I'm working on. I mean, we've seen characters (like in "Journal found in an abandoned farmhouse" I believe it's called) having knowledge of Arkham despite living states away, which suggests the former.
I wouldn't say it's a rinky-dink town, but it's certainly no metropolis either. I think it sort of changes depending on who's writing about it, but if it were me, i'd put its population around 25,000, but I wouldn't be shocked at all if people put it closer to 40,000.
I always pictured it similar to Providence but perhaps slightly smaller and somewhat more ancient-feeling with it's vine-ridden dreary occult witch-scape undertones. With plenty of outlying middle to lower class neighborhoods and farmland in the surrounding area.

I know I'm a math nerd, because the one thousandth anniversary of the destruction of Ib would be one thousand and one years later. I hate when movies say things like, "It was 100 years ago that the pirates vowed vengeance", which means it's the 99th anniversary when the movie rakes place. Come on, writers, learn some basic maths. Not even maths, we're talking sums.
After all these years, I finally know why the Batman series had Arkham Asylum. Another subtle nod to the Master of Madness.

So is the king in yellow the hanged king from scp universe? I see some similarities
Lovecraftian horror towns: "It's rundown, the people don't read much. But worse, it's by water!"
Is it weird that i like learning about the Cthulhu Mythos more than actually reading it? Despite haveing the Books right next to me... :'D
I feel like filling the Gaps while learning yourself is the most fun, oppsed to reading.

Sigmund Fruit There are maps of it available, particularly a beautiful full colour map included with the Keeper's Screen kit for the latest edition of the role-playing game.
prolet kult Spoken like a true PIG!
I searched his books in Albanian langue everywere and no one had them translated. It is so sad that in my country people do not know him.
