I had a long comment in here previously. But I wonder if this stuff still doesn't work because digital platforms still don't help us... Can we just start with the work package definition and have contract terms that require the gradual measurement and closeout of requirements, rather than starting with freely f**kupable monolithic BIM models and databases, supported by manually created text walls which miraculously should solve the problems?? This sounds like Anker to some degree.

Digital platforms are helping us; it's more about the user and having a proper understanding of how the platform works, and how all the information is interconnected. If it isn't set up properly, it's going to create a tremendous amount of work. It's important to have a BIM Manager or someone responsible for BIM who has extensive knowledge of these digital workflows. There are many ways to deliver a good result, but the question is how to find the most effective way with the least amount of work, to reuse or tie the information in the project together.
It's also important to consider what information is necessary to include in the model, to distinguish what can stay in a database and what needs to be in the model itself.
Moreover, it's very important that the projects have a common goal for the end result. So, when a project starts up, it's necessary to sit down with all the stakeholders to create a BIM Execution Plan (BEP) or Digital Action Plan. We have to start with the end in mind, a form of backward planning.
This is something we at Reope have a burning desire to solve for the many different projects out there.
And of course, ANKER is a software that is really useful for making this information workflow and validation go seamlessly!
