- How I Beat ELITE Blastapopoulos - 35 MILLION HP! BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - update 45.0 is officially out and this is my first time tackling Elite Blastapopouolos. Here's what I came up with to take it down as well as a quick rundown of other features this update.

I wish that the heat thing was actually bad enough to make people use ice towers, it seems interesting but it just gets ignored.
obv its not a boss thing, but with 3xx being a viable decamo now, i think it can get the use it deserves
Agreed. Honestly it's the best mechanic on the boss, the one that probably has the most potential for actually encouraging people to use different strategies and shake up the by now quite stale meta. I think if they just got rid of the sight blocking rocks entirely and made the heat mechanic more threatening but also have more ways to engage with it, they might just have the best boss they've made yet.
Yeah I agree, I thought this was why they made middle path mermonkey have ice powers once ISAB showcased this boss, I thought it was weird that it had ice attack and when I saw the heat feature thought it would give variety and use to ice based attacks but doesn’t seem the case currently
That and ice towers feel like they do nothing so why try to fight the inevitable.

the first 40 rounds are pretty much the same for bosses, literally just farm as much cash as you can little to no reason to think much about anything else besides having a good farming setup and a good enough defense for the first 40 rounds

The fact that he sold the mermonkey saying "were not going to go with echosense" the immediately builds up an echosence army

It's completely worthless, too. Echosense only buffs other echosense mermonkeys, so the buffs didn't even apply to it as it wasn't crosspathed properly.
also the fact that mermonkey also doesnt hit purple bloons now too and he didnt realise that at all....

I agree with the overheat mechanic. I just tested this boss and I quickly realized that the stun isn’t that threatening so I just started spamming my usual boss killing towers (not the projectile ones tho) and it was so easy to beat. I think they should change the mechanic to it burning up a random tower or 2 (excluding paragons) every time it overheats so it gives us more of a reason to use ice attacks. Either that or just make the stun last longer.
Do that for elite tiers

I found that for tier one even with my terrible farm overdrive and embrittlement is still viable at least for normal but with good farm probably elite aswell cause the embrittlement counteracts the high projectile count of the overdrive

Night 91 of watching isab every night before bed. Nearing night 100 is crazy, it feels like I started this on day 1 only yesterday but it has been 3 months
when i farm i just make 4 marketplaces a bloon trap and a flavored trades for increased sell back for tier 1
i’m not doing all that monkeyopolis sweaty shit
i’ll use a monkey city with brfs and b centrals but i’m not making it that early
Il say this, I was struggling with bosses before, and always never had enough money to get to the tier 5 let alone beat the tier 4 or even 3. But then, as soon as I tried out the monkeyopolis strat, getting it at around round 32-36, I suddenly beat not only elite Blastapopulous, but also elite Dreadbloon as well. As someone who had been struggling on elite bosses for so long, do try to go for the monkeyopolis. It's not actually that difficult to get, and it saves you the trouble in the later rounds.

i can usually get a banana central by round 80 with my strat which carries for the rest of the run
I actually used code ISAB to buy fast track today! NK deserves more than BTD6’s sticker price, so I’m happy to support them (and ISAB).

The popseidon doesn't work on blastapopoulos because it also has a purple bloon weakness. Only ice towers can actually reduce the heat of blastapopoulos.
I honestly never noticed it wasn't called flavored trades

I'm not really that good at bloons but I played the elite boss on the new map and it was tough I couldn't get past stage 4. Good job on this completion though.

Might be early to call it, but I feel like (Elite) Blastopopulous needs a nerf. With all the negative effects, what are you supposed to do against it? Reduced ability cooldowns makes Engi paragon and Ace paragon much weaker, reduced projectile lifespan makes Sub paragon, Dart paragon, and debatably boat paragon weaker, and reduced range makes Boomer paragon ineffective on longer maps. And the magic paragons don't work on it.
Idk, maybe a VTSG works against it
VTSG is pretty good against it from what I've seen, the new temple changes go hard
Fun fact, blastapopulous is the first elite boss I beat (on cubism, so it was a little easier potentially), and then followed up with beating elite dreadbloon (also my first time). From my testing, a subgon, boomer paragon, ace paragon, and dart paragon are all you need to beat the elite tier 5. Granted, it is quite tanky, and the gimmicks will make you think twice for sure, but so long as you farm hard enough, it actually is a rather straightforward boss. If anything, I would want it to be less forgiving with the heat effect by making it last longer, because I felt like it made no difference to my paragons later in the bossfight.
I have a question when do custom projectiles come back into the shop? For example I want to have the candy cane for the boomerang.

Imagine Blastpopulous nerfed all Military Monkeys by making them do less damage and attack slower, due to their weapons being overheated by the boss.
It feels weird that they add a boss that dislikes having multiple projectiles and then they say "yeah tack paragon is next". Odd.
Well, ace paragon shoots slower than the sky shredder (unless you get an insanely high degree) so maybe they'll do the same for tack paragon.

They missed a big opportunity to make the boss resistant to fire and explosives would make the boss a lot more interesting
That would make the boss way more difficult and gimmicky unfortunately. A lot of towers (such as the MAD) require explosions to function, so taking away those towers leaves you with limited options. As for fire, it's already resistant to tons of fire attacks and all magic attacks/lasers since its property is purple. I do like your idea, but in practice it would make the boss way too hard, although it is something to note that it IS resistant to sticky bomb and all subsequent upgrades (including paragon flashcards) of the ninja.

You got it somewhat mixed up. It always couldn't pop purples. They added that it couldn't pop whites. Honestly, that's a massive nerf considering it already needs to be tier 4 just to pop leads also.
@@gryphon4150 no, I was wriring It that way because the ice attacks reduce Heat and plasma/energy/fire increase It, doesn't mater if mermonkey falls In both categories or none It shouldn't afect heat at all
