    Great video! For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated with gazing balls. I have two, one purple and one a crackled red finish. I think they add a little magic and mystery to a yard and garden!

    Thumbs up 👍. Very interesting trivia and the color of the glazing balls are beautiful. I also have several in my yard and cobalt blue is my favorite. Thank you for sharing ? Ciao

    There's a shop in Sycamore, IL called Blumen Gardens that carries hand blown gazing balls.

    I have one identical to the one inside wire with 3 little ones , i have removed the glass, and sanded and repainted the metal, but im at a loss as to how to "polish" the rainbow glass without scratching it? It seems to have scuff marks in it already, suggestions? Love those big ones too!!

    I love my collection of gazing balls and my "gazing " bowling ball is a copper color because I had one little neighborhood boy try to break my blue ball with a rock. After that unfinished business (yes, I still have the blue gazing ball), I found the copper colored bowling ball in its place.

    How to they stand in the garden? I feel like they would blow away if it’s windy

    Fascinating information. Thank you so much. I have always wanted one but just didn’t know if there was a purpose or maybe it was just whiskey. It’s BOTH! Tfs. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

    I wish there were some made of glass that would be much larger. Im aware of the expensive stainless steel ones but I wonder how large these balls can be made?

    Instead of doing a similar color why not make it blue for more of a pop? With the maple just curious.

    Are these gazing balls generally heavy enough to stand up to a strong windy day?

    • @GardenStylenw
      @GardenStylenw  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would find a protected spot and be sure the stand is firmly planted in the ground. Most gazing balls have a stem that fits inside the stand to give them more stability and keep them from blowing out of the stand. Mine have endured several severe wind storms and did just fine. Thank you for watching! :)

      Hello, I LOVE the purple gazing ball!!! Where did you get it? I'm trying so hard to find one the same color and I cannot find it anywhere! I love your videos also, watch them a lot .. I've just started gardening and getting into a lot of that kind of stuff outside. It's so much fun. I was buying bulbs online back during Winter! lol

    Fun to spy on your kitty in the gazing ball. What's his/her name?

    • @GardenStylenw

      Kitty's name is Sir Dudley!

      Aw, very cute. I had a white bunny named Dudley when I was a girl. If I remember right he was named after a mascot for Easter egg dyes.
