Just mopped the floor with this guy about 20 minutes ago. Got this game this previous Christmas. Never expected to beat such a lengthy game in less than a year. :O
BTW, my final party was that, except Maribel as a master Platinum King Jewel instead of Ruff and Aishe as a master Hero.. I found Ruff to be the weakest link due his a lack of a more powerful weapon.
Gear-wise, I had a lot of armor that mitigated fire, cold and magic damage, namely an entire Platinum King set, the gear from all 4 elemental spirit routes in the final dungeon, the Goddess Shields from two of the DLC tablets, and whatever else I could cobble together. I also utilized the special summoning card I got from one of the tablets. In the end, my main character, Sir Mervyn and Aishe just Gigaslashed him to death, Maribel used the card and healed where necessary, and Orgodemir pretty much melted away like he was a stick of butter in a hot oven! XD
Personally, I went with Auster/Hero, Ruff/Hero, Aishe/Armamentalist (my fav vocation ever), and Maribel/Druid Auster spammed Sword Dance and rarely healed and casted Kabuff, Ruff became the support with Oomphs and healing, Aishe spammed Knuckle Sandwich like her life depended on it, and Maribel cooked Orgodemir with Hellfires and Kafrizzles while supporting the party with Oomphs, Insulatles and Magic Barriers. Kinda surprised how quick the battle went for me, I had more trouble with a *_certain yellow cloud_* than the Demon King himself, which was kinda funny looking back lol.

It obviously depends on how much you grind, but Orgo's one of the harder final DQ bosses, honestly. In this video, the player has grinded three characters to master the Hero class (minimum 1089 battles fought, assuming you know/look up how to unlock it and go straight for it), at least five more levels than I'd expect a casual playthrough to have at this point, and at least 83 mini medals (Sage's Stone). That much grinding would make any final DQ boss easy; he's strong enough to comfortably beat the post-game bosses. They may've also nerfed Orgo for the 3DS release; his second phase would've taken 2-3 actions on his third turn on PS1 (Lullab-eye + Whitefire + (50% chance) Attack) but only took one action (Wind Sickles) here. That's the only difference I noticed in his pattern, but he also killed phases two and four before they showed their full patterns... The temptation to grind classes for hours in DQ6/7 is real, though. Especially on 3DS 7 where you can just farm Slimes in the tablet dungeons.

Finally get to see the origin of Ogredemir. He was crazy strong in Dragon Quest Monsters Joker, and I never played the original PSX version.

The boss fight was pretty easy compared to some other DQ bosses, wasn't it? Only had 1 death during the fight. Felt a bit disappointed... ^^

I don't know, but l set strategy everyone to "fight wisely" and did it with zero death, too easy for a final boss on 2DS.
I really miss this game hopefully there is way to install 3ds emulator in old Android phone
