It’s because there is a mental bond between horse and rider the horse feels/reads you and knows when you trust him/like him. And he is so geared to please you he will all but hurt himself to what you want or expect so, if you expect him to fail you he will because that’s what your mind is sending to him

Well that's the problem, there is no earning a living doing this...it isn't a job, it is a lifestyle choice. A large number of cowboys have actual jobs because cowboy jobs dont pay the bills. There are exceptions if you manage a big place, or are somehow a small time rancher who knows how to save a dollar.
@@operationNOBO its a life style that’s for sure, but it will support you and your family if you don’t want to live high on the hog, but lots of places here have live in cowboys that have their housing built into their wages, it works good for the ranch to because they have empty houses from places they have bought with land.
Catching those sweet drone shots. Drones.... wish I'd a had them around a few years ago. Looking for those things in the draws would save miles and miles! I'd use them for calving out too! Y'all got it easy these days - but at least your still horseback! Nice going guys! In a changing world that isn't going to wait for you to catch up. And ain't that just fine!
All of these cattle either had foot rot or pink eye. We didn’t run into any respiratory trouble while we were there. Needless to say they had plenty of fight 👍👍
