Your channel should have a lot more subscribers. great content and advice i started of with bullion when i first invested even thou i got in at a great time back in march last year .with the premiums tax you have to pay. its very off putting. When i first got into buying scrap and antique silver of eBay everybody was laughing at me when i told them. But its like you say there is so much more value in antiques. even thou i have little knowledge. in this market. over the last 7 months ive managed to buy most of my stuff for no more over 5% over the melt value and about 2 kg of it for 25-30% lower than melt. I say scrap silver but 90% of it i could re sell easily. but for now im just stacking while its cheap.

Thanks Ben. You're absolutely right; the added value of buying antique pieces cushions you from the day to fluctuations of the bullion market - plus you can re-sell when and if you want to.

I agree but a lot of people buy coins as they are exempt from capital gains taxation.

Hello, and nice to see another video from you. (It is very difficult to hear you. Could you please move the microphone closer to you?) The sterling tray and pitcher are lovely. I always think of the history and previous owners of the silver (and other antique items) that I purchase. I hope that all is well with you.

Thank you - all good here. Yes, it's the social history that always gets me with personal items like these; if only they could talk!

I have a beautiful Cambodian "pumpkin betle box" full of hand carvings. It`s stamped T90% on the bottom which equals to 900/1000 and the weight is about 600 grams. I want to sell it, but I think it be a shame sending such a beautiful old piece to be melted.
