Excellent video! My Volvo v70 D2 2012 one morning had no power compared to normal conditions. Tried a bunch of stuff and suddenly it see med fixed. Had the same problem again and it seemed to go away with the engine coming up to temperature. Will attempt to change all of them, they lasted 300 000 km, and see if this fixes it. Among the fault codes I find one that is glow plug related so hopefully this is the problem.
This is why I make them to help people! Have you got a multi meter to test them? I just the looms and the relays can be an issue sometimes as well. It was £10 for that glow plug in the video with it being a name brand which I think it a good price so it isn't to pricey as well
@@DriveShifty I just changed all of them now. Car runs a lot smoother on startup but also overall. Hopefully this was the problem causing to lack of power. The problem was intermittent so I will have to give it a few days to make sure it does not come back. Wierd that this fault didn't give any obvious fault codes. Tried reading them on my icarsoft cr pro+ but found nothing that hinted specifically at the glow plugs. Anyway, thank you so much!

Icarsoft was one of the first ones to come up in my searching. How do you find it and also is there good live data from it? I don't need one but the amount of times I get asked if I do plus this being my mums car I kinda want one for it
@@DriveShifty 🙏 I like it so far. Used to have Volvo vida dice but it was soo slow to boot up the PC and load the vehicle profile. The cr pro+ is quick to start and load my saved vehicle and can do basically everything i could do with my vida dice. I'm not a high level user. Mostly wanna check codes and see what the sensors are telling me. Cr pro+ works on all makes and models too and gets free updates when more vehicles are added. Live data tracking seems to work well too. Haven't seen if it's possible to graph values but reading the sensor outputs works good.
@@MrNeutross That's awesome to hear! I had seen videos of them but it was mostly from people selling them. They seemed to cheap to be true considering the price you can pay for a code reader! I've heard of the Vida stuff. I have the equivalent stuff for my BMW INPA and it's a life saver! So hearing that you get on with the icarsoft as well as you did with Vida is promising for it!
