The build-up of the 3.9L 500hp naturally aspirated GT3 engine by SharkWerks & EVOMS and a look behind the black magic that is Porsche Tuning with the EVOMSit software. Dyno testing, tuning footage as well as track testing footage at Willow Springs Raceway by Cort Wagner. Comparison with a stock 3.6L GT3RS and a cameo appearance by a 2010 997 GT3....

These guys are awesome. I visited them twice, unfortuntely they don't do much for the 986. They are amazing with pulling huge numbers out of the turbo models. Glad to see them doing the NA as well now. I would love to get a 3.9 into my 986

Absolutely we do! We just built a 3.9 997 GT3 for a Canadian client and one down in LA.

I totally agree with you on the PDK... So far no GT3 release has had a PDK trans. Ours is and will remain a 6speed manual. The engine doesn't allow for mating with the PDK (thankfully!).

I HAVE A QUESTION I THINK TO BYE GT3 rs or gt-r i will use for track and open roads so ? how can you pull to to the gt3 choise - its a lot of money What are the better side's over the gt-r (gt-r 4 seats :) )

any of this guys can drive a gt3 or a rs to the the max of what the car can deliver?!?american big fart...a no name race driver that I would love to see against w. rohrl with a stock gt3 rs mk2 on the ring for few laps. i'm sure that all impressions will clear off from the steroid's head.
not say that the guys aren't good but don't ruin a fine car.
if you want a straight line rocket buy a skyline or some japanese computerized frog
We did a few things to handling/braking (minor) but remember it comes from the factory with some amazing adjustability and proper coil overs. We did change the spring rate and got more cooling to the brakes (cup ducts).

PDK transmission is not available on the GT3 / GT3RS. They are currently only 6-speed.

Very awesome video. Like how you guys took us through the entire process. One question though? What's the comression ratio on these bad boys? I've always been a NA guy; this just reinforces how awesome NA setups really are.

my cousin is sooo cool she is one of the creaters of this and her husband did this as a hobbie but it was to expensive so he made it into a buisness
@MlTCHB not really, US octane ranking is a bit different to EU and AUS. US 93 octane is equivalent to europian 97-98, which is premium quality.

WOW, it revs to 8800rpm w/ a 3.9 liter vs. 8300rpm on a 3.6 liter. You guys really know how to do it!
