    Hi Tiana,
you must have mountains of props that you use for your videos. As always you create fantastic videos. The special effects, the props, and of course the artwork, blend together into one of the best produced videos! You attention to detail really shines in your videos.

Hello, Brenda! Thanks so much for your lovely comment 😊 Hehe, I wouldn't say mountains - just a box, but I try out different combinations of the same props to give them a fresh look :) Hope you are well and having a good day! ❤️

So amazing, Tiana!! Celtic knot work is so hard to do and you made it look so easy!! 💖 Beautiful job again, my friend!! Hope you are well and safe and have a great week!!

Aurora, thanks a lot! 😊❤️ Celtic knots are hard to draw, indeed, so they were the most time consuming part of this illustration, hehe :) Hope you are well and safe, too! ❤️

I’ve been drawing “ye olde Keltic” style things. But have been too nervous to pluck up the courage to draw anything human or animal in that style and I think it’s been holding me back. I’m going to use this as inspiration to draw some animals. I’m still too nervous to try drawing humans in that style…

Just found you and on the second video I’m now a huge fan. And I have 1000 questions. First, if I wanna do illuminated manuscripts where I do a nice medieval drop cap (like your letter A) and say the text of a Psalm all on one page.
What kind of paper do I buy for that? Am I using watercolor paper or just regular acid free paper for calligraphy? 11 x 17 size? I’m still trying to decide if I want to do calligraphy with pens and nibs or with calligraphy brushes.

Hello, Daniel! Thank you for your support. To answer your questions:
Your choice of paper and size of artwork should be dictated by what you are planning to use your illuminated manuscript page for and on your budget. Are you planning to frame it and hang on the wall? Are you thinking to have a large scale stationary artwork to keep it on a stand on table/ desk? Or do you want to carry it around as a small book, or, perhaps, keep it in a box and take it out only for certain occasions, e.g. for liturgical use?
The drop caps from my videos that you mentioned (letter A, for example) are rather large in size. So, they can serve as stand-alone decorations when framed. If they are to be accompanied by text that would require a large size of paper. So the resulting illuminated page would be more suitable for keeping it as a stationary artwork on a stand or framing, but not for carrying around for frequent use.
Basically, vellum or acid-free archival thick cotton paper will help your artwork to last longer and be more fade resistant. They are, however, more pricey. Calligraphy paper is usually rather thin and very smooth: it is great for practising your writing skills, but might not be able to handle much water and would get deformed from it. Watercolor paper can be cotton, cellulose or mix, and can have different thickness and surface. Hot pressed watercolor paper has a smooth surface and is normally absorbent enough to prevent ink from bleeding through. Its smooth surface is more suitable for calligraphy strokes than a rough, textured surface. Cold pressed and rough watercolor papers have such textured surfaces. The thicker watercolor paper is, the less it buckles from moisture. Deciding on how you want to color your manuscript page (e.g. colored pencils or watercolor) will also help to choose suitable paper.
It might be helpful if you could make test-sketches for your Psalm page to decide on its design, size, where to position elements and the text.
You might want to try out different calligraphy fonts with the materials that you have (nibs, pens, brushes). For example, try doing one font with different tools, then try different fonts using the same one tool. Try different tools for different font sizes, as the same one tool might not be suitable for large and small font sizes. See what paper and writing tools work for you and allow you to recreate the calligraphy font in the size that you like as well as to combine available art materials.
Having gotten a grasp of how your art materials work and mix, you can choose a suitable paper type easier. Having made a sketch of your design, you can transfer the sketch onto paper and begin working on it with the tools/ art supplies you have selected. Hope this was sufficient to help with your questions, may have a wonderful day!

I love your work, but being severely dyslexic, I can’t read fast enough to keep up. A voice over would be so helpful. I know it’s not your style, but maybe one time.

Hello, thank you for the feedback. Noted, will see what could be done about subtitles' speed (without voiceover at the moment). Have a great week 🌿
