I wish in the mobiglass it would tell you what local time is at the mission location on a planet so then you could see if it's going to be dark or not.
I just wish we'd get more bounties and combat in space, instead of in atmosphere. I remember the majority of contracts taking you to asteroid fields, weapon test sites and wreckages, and nowadays I seem to get nothing but bounties at surface locations. We also used to have the patrol missions a really long time ago. Another that would be really swell of them to fix are the ATC voicelines and constant misjumping when trying to get to an OM or straight to an orbital Station. I am so fed up with always landing 240-260km away from Baijini Point upon first attempt.
- It would be nice if we could add some locations as favorites, so we don't have to search for them everytime, when we are going back and forth, while mining for example. - Filters in the contract tab, specially for hauling missions, to highlight contracts for specific locations. - open/close ships remotely
I'm looking at hauling missions and thinking to myself that there are huge gaps between them that need not be so huge. I'm talking about the jump from ~6-10 1 SCU crates straight to 90-something (with too many 8 SCU crates to comfortably fit a lot of medium cargo transports) and wishing there was a 9x8 SCU mission instead. Maybe 2025 is the year the mission designers take a look at that and try out a wider spread of box types and numbers. Bonus points for adding box IDs too - the split deliveries can be a pain sometimes when you resort to trial and error to isolate which ones go where.
We definitely need all of these QOLs, CIG could start by the smallest one. It could improve SC QOL so much like how they did with the Cuttys and Connies already having personal storage spaces. It's now so easy to store stuff for other crew members or for loot!
I feel you on getting stuck flying missions at night. It sucks. But most of the time that I've gotten a mission, bunkers, delivery, DCs, bounties, it's been at night. I've given in and installed Reshade with an NVG and IR filter. Makes flying a bit easier.
I agree about missions seeming to be on the dark side of moons and planets more often than not. One of my remote friends has issues with either his PC or his own eyes, but he cannot see any terrain in Star Citizen at night.
here are my 5 thing in this order 1 add ship armor 2 add resistances to armor and shields aka the alpha damage mitigation by CIG 3 add blades and make sure for players with multi account or packages loaner blades 4 fill out the economy 5 start thinking about concepting each alien race gets mine, salvage, repair, hauling, capital and rounding out not really making them better but tax them more to keep it rare but we have to realize other races must have these ships and cars and bikes and guns just like humans do...
For this year, they really need to add the recovery of paid items (which was supposed to be in 3.23.x). If they are serious about improving the player experience, this would be a huge step. I know many people who are waiting on quality of life improvements, such as paid item recovery, before they will return to the game.
o7 Erad, another great video with some really valid points, good job. It is the year 2955, I hear a sound 150 meters away behind my outpost. I panick as I fear pirates attempting to loot my stored cargo as I await my orgmate and his ship. I hear another noise, a bit closer this time, around 100 meters and guess what I do next? I turn on my flashlight! It is 2955, I am not on earth, I have 10 space ships of different sizes in my name, humanity has achieved Quantum Travel! and I turn my flashlight on!!! What happened to night vision? Did we miss it? Different timeline? Humanity never though about it? It is too much to ask for CIG?
Haha wait until you try turning on your ships headlights and realize that once again, you turned on a 1970s Ray-0-Vac flashlight with dollar store D batteries.
If they had prices changing according to what players trade, this would greatly increase my interest and make it more playable. Whilst maybe not a direct QoL feature, creating more interesting changes would distract from other shortcomings. It would also help hide some of the CIG decisions like inter-system profit margins that you mentioned. If they do fix things like performance and desync, I will need to start thinking of new excuses to cover skill issues. 😂
Kill full loot Kill DoaSM idea Faster claim times Less time sinks Focus on keeping players engaged rather than take a deep sigh and log off due to not wanting to do all of that over again. Watch player count grow and players return as well as stay engaged
As every planet and moon rotates at a different speed, you've just got bad luck. CIG don't know how long it would take you to get there to the destination, and if you pick up a mission generated in daylight, by the time you get there, it might be night anyway.
I think night time play could be enhanced by moonlight adding higher levels of visibility, and having night vision on ships and combat / pilot helmets.
Definitely some good points 👍🏻 it would be great to see these implemented. I think once crafting gets into the game, alot of the economy will become fleshed out... People will have a reason to move commodities and piracy will follow. Can't wait! 😁
Erad.. tip on the bunker missions at night if u found that annoying is when u decide to actually Do the mission check the planet map to see where the base is if day or night side and if it's not in the lite side just take another mission and check it too and if both happen to be dark side either just wait or get over it haha. I like the light also so I can see where to fly to get as close as I can to the bunker as finding some of those hills or valleys that r so subtle it's hard to notice them on the ping relief. Anyway, main thing is just wait out the dawn if u want to fight in the light.
Honestly, I don't want _improvements_ to make life better for us *_ALPHA TESTERS_* but instead want them to just finish both S42 & SC as soon as possible.
I'd love for CIG to just focus on fixing the absolute brokenness of the game. Everything that's been reported. Start with what impacts the most players and then just work down that very, very long list. That would be the best QOL improvement CIG could ever do. If they would just tackle these bugs with the same ferocity they show "exploits", this alpha would be in such better shape it wouldn't be recognizable.
Aside from poor economy vs other game loops, the cargo loading / unloading really discourages me from the cargo game loop. Just too much time is spent with a tractor beam for my limited play time.
I hate nighttime landings, I really want some sort of night vision for landing. I know it’s something the talked about but not even close to getting on the priority list understandably.
K slight beef....I think its great that they say they are going to get this game stabilized and reliably playable, however actions speak louder than words, and I sincerely hope they follow through. As Chris said if the game was stable and playable people would love it, and I wholeheartedly agree. That being said I've been backing this game since 2012, I'm one of the originals, and though I'm committed to seeing it through not everyone is going to stick around through the nightmare bugs and months sometimes years of crappy if not non-existent game-play. CIG needs to garner (and KEEP) new players, that is a hard sell when a new player's first encounters in the game are server errors, ships not showing up, stations eating your ship when you stow it, 60ks and on and on. I love this game, and seriously want it succeed, I tried getting my little brother into the game as he's a big space nut like me, we play on Elite together, I know he'd love it. But our session today, his first experience was catastrophic, crashes, falling through elevators, 60k, he'll try it again, maybe tomorrow but how much is he going to stomach before he says "nah" and goes back to Elite or No Man's Sky. The thing is excited players, bring in more excited players and so on, that only works if those new players have something to actually be excited about, and Star Citizen has it in spades....When it works.... When it doesn't it has nothing, worse than nothing because those players that could have been happy ambassadors to their friends and family, now are either uninterested or possibly outright hostile for having their time and money as they see it wasted. Please CIG... Chris get this game stable, get it playable, for those of us who are already here yes, but even more so for those to come, for those new long term players that will be willing to buy that new ship, or recruit yet another new player to this awesome experience. Erad if I win your give away, give it to my bro instead. I hope he stays, but time and his experiences over the next couple of weeks will tell.
I just hope they live up to the promise of focusing on playability. And start focusing on getting FRAMERATES up. 15 to 25 fps on a 3080Ti with 128GB of system RAM with an AMD 3950x with the game loaded onto a striped pair of SSDs is just... pathetic. It's pretty much unplayable. :( I have to jump through all kinds of hoops and employ resolution tricks to get it CLOSE to 30fps but a game like this where frames matter... 60fps is really a necessity to be competitive.
Is it “Quality of Live” (as in Live server) or “Quality of Life” improvements? I kind of presume you mean “quality of life” but I do think the other is even more important 1) STABILITY, implement a better way to thoroughly test new features, elements (anything) before dropping it on the Live server. Extend the PTU tests, reward players for contributions 2) Clean up backlog of “broken” things before adding new (broken) things 3) Stop playing this “its an Alpha - shit happens” game, on one hand CIG claim it to be playable to attract new players (fresh capital) on the other you claim it’s a game in development. Somebody within CIG need to strap on a pair of pants and be accountable for statements (playable) for the game content that is advertised on their sales pages and ensure new stuff is thoroughly tested in the PTU before released.
Sure, they "could" have these improvements, but I can think of 5 better things they should have instead. 1. Refineries can output to player local storage in addition to any ship. 2. Place, save and share markers to your favorite locations (especially for Aaron Halo mining) so you don't have to fuss with precise abort of QT. 3. Cruise control turns off, and stays off, any time you tap X (space breaks), decouple, power down engines, or leave your seat. It should not turn on suddenly when you enable coupled mode again. 4. MFDs remember your settings when you store your ship, or log out (especially bed log) and return. 5. Hangars allow retrieval and stowage of ground vehicles from the freight elevators or a similar alternate platform within the hangar. You can't store a vehicle after unloading it from your ship right now because when you store your ship, the elevator is down and will not let you store anything on top of it.

I wish in the mobiglass it would tell you what local time is at the mission location on a planet so then you could see if it's going to be dark or not.
Or just look at the location on the map. If its in the day light section, it is daylight. How long it takes you to get there though is another matter.
I just wish we'd get more bounties and combat in space, instead of in atmosphere.

I do hope the gunplay changes a bit, feels a bit too stiff.
Unless you're using a multitool, then it's wildly flailing about all over the place.
here are my 5 thing in this order
1 add ship armor
2 add resistances to armor and shields aka the alpha damage mitigation by CIG
3 add blades and make sure for players with multi account or packages loaner blades
4 fill out the economy

Would love to see any of these improvements in star citizen. Can't wait to see them in a couple of years.
I want them to add their social upgrades as they described in Citcon. That's basically 100% qol upgrades.
for sure on the night missions and I agree, would like to see some form of mission or trade at places like benson mining.
For this year, they really need to add the recovery of paid items (which was supposed to be in 3.23.x). If they are serious about improving the player experience, this would be a huge step. I want a hab directly connected to my hangar. With an espresso machine.

That’s a great tip!
What would be better is if CIG introduced a mission preview before accepting it to allow you to see its location, time of day, etc.
Honestly, I don't want _improvements_ to make life better for us *_ALPHA TESTERS_* but instead want them to just finish both S42 & SC as soon as possible.

Dark missions? I've never seen them since it's too dark...
Aside from poor economy vs other game loops, the cargo loading / unloading really discourages me from the cargo game loop. Just too much time is spent with a tractor beam for my limited play time.
I can only hope commodities will get an update with q-system

Hoping guardian thrusters hp buff ends up making a good difference.
We need some new mission types.
like always lets hope some wil get adressed sooner than later. true that it is a pain to go to a mission to have nothing once on site

Shoulda, woulda, coulda.
CIG has kind of lost me.
Yeah there is no piracy for getting some goods... only ganking griefers.
#1 The game saving your logout position.
Sure, they "could" have these improvements, but I can think of 5 better things they should have instead.

Nobody watches 20 minute videos… do you?
@@Erad_Prime This is the stupidest statement of the year so far. Try harder mate
