You are a life saver dude. I own the xs360 and havent been able to get my Rick’s reg/ rec to charge properly. Ive been told it had the field coil setup for the longest time. Going to get the correct one now!
Hello, my name is Bj actually. The DRR-F is the reg/rec you would need for a 750/4 to modernize your charging system. The ignition side does not matter.
Hello, I just got a kz400 kawasaki from 1977 engine, it should be almost the same as the engine you have, but I only got the engine and not the motorcycle and Im missing all the wiring. I did some research but only found a very small amount of information. I only have the field coil wiring. I just got the contact breaker and the ignition coil but I dont know what else I will need just to run the engine. So do you have any idea what I will need just to run it and see if it works electronic wise?
To run the engine you just need power to the points. To charge the battery you would need to wire the stator to a voltage regulator/rectifier to control power output

Would i be able to delete the battery and use a capacitor with the permanent magnet? Thanks man
Unsure on that one. You may want to do some digging on some XS forums

Thanks Olly
That I do not know. You could contact nwtcycletronic
What is the sensing wire for? I have a Yamaha xs750 with a filled coil.
The sensing wire is sensing power consumption/input so it can tell the regulator how much to charge or "shunt"/disperse charge
Do I need DRR one to use X21?, can I still use the original from my bike ?
Nope X21 is fine with any reg/rec or battery
I have a 2020Amego il bello 150cc 6 wire plug red, green and black and 3yellow. Need to now how to wire it
You would have to contact NWT for that
