Thank you Kelly. The bait I was using was Berkley Powerbait in corn scent/flavor. I normally bring along an assortment of colors/scents of powerbait and try a few to see what they prefer that day. I use a small #12 mustad treble hook and ensure the bait completely covers the hook. Best of luck out there
@@BetterOddsFishing Need to see more trout fishing from you man! I really like that you show when the trouts start biting. It’s so entertaining lol. Try the del valle right side where you have to walk the trails. Lots to catch there too
My friend actually send me this and said he saw me lol. Bro it was nice meeting you and fishing with you. I was about to limit so just wanted to share the wealth at that spot while it was hot. I fish all around, hit me up if you ever wanna link up. Crab. Plug. Bait and wait. Fresh water. I do it all. Good stuff bro 💯
Same bro! It was an epic day of fishing, thanks again for sharing the dock with me. I’d be down to fish together again, hit me up on instagram @jakeswertel
What is your setup you use ? Rod, reel, line ,hook, baits. I'm curious to know since i haven't trout fished in many years. We used 1/8oz sliding egg sinkers way back. Tight Lines.
For my trout bait rods I go simple but effective. I’m using a 7’ ultralight ugly stik elite rod, Shimano Sahara 1000 (best inexpensive combo imo), 5lb power pro braid for the main line and 6lb seaguar fluorocarbon for the leader, Hook is a #10 mustad treble, and I try to throw multiple power bait flavors to increase my odds. The weight shouldn’t matter too much, but I generally pick something depending on either how far I want to cast or how deep of water I am fishing. Somewhere between 1/16th and up to 5/8ths on rare occasions. Hope this helps you land a big one, best of luck out there 💯💯
Awesome bite. Healthy looking fish. Got to love it when a plan comes together

Great video! Thanks for sharing. Q: what’s the yellow product you’re using? Also what bait do you recommend out there?

Just you and that guy. That’s definitely a great day. Peaceful fishing nobody casting next to you like those truck chasers 😭
I feel it. I’m never a fan of getting crowded when fishing. I wish people had more respect for one another. Best of luck out there!

Becareful fishing that side since it’s close, it’s a $100 fine for trespassing.
Thank you! I don’t recommend fishing over there if it’s closed.
How long was it till u caught the first one
It was no more than five minutes after I baited up the second rod. Got to the lake and left a little over an hour later. Best of luck out there bro 👊
