I'm sort of at the other end to the trail so to speak ! Just retired and got my 1st eMTB last year. I have done other off-road sports but fairly new to MTB-ing....your videos will help and I hope to get up there soon. G.
I did this exact route today after I watched your video. It was fantastic. Great video and really helpful so thanks. The blog you did was great too and the links to the route.
@@KJRMTB good for you. I think people who make videos like this for other riders to try out should get more credit as they’re so helpful. Happy New Year to you!
Great video and looks great...I am going to try and get up there soon. I'll check out your other vids soon as I may start on an easier route...just subbed too...
Thank you! Nice to have you onboard, uploads have slowed since I finished being a student and got a job.. but the occasional video will be uploaded! Have a look at the lady Cannings, blackamoor and Eastern Moors routes I have uploaded, they are easier but still get some brilliant riding in
Craig Shaw hi Craig, my first video 'stanage loop' is a good beginners one, I will make a similar one to that over the next couple of weeks :) glad your enjoying them!
Follow the link in the description to dialledmag, there is then a Strava link on there, if you can't download it as a gpx let me know and I will get it to you! Very good loop regardless of the weather, a proper Peaks classic
The term beginner is very broad, if you have never ridden a mountain bike before I would advise something fairly flat and not technical such as the Thornhill trail or the Monsal Trail near Bakewell. If that is too easy try the eastern Moors of the peaks near blacka moor and curbar. I have a video on the eastern Moors. If again that is too easy I wouldn't say you were a beginner and you should push for a route like this all weather one! Hope this helps, enjoy the ride!
@@matt1170 no it isn't unfortunately! I'd advise downloading the Strava activity in the description and using it as a gpx on a Garmin type device, or take notes from the map in the write up!
what chest mount are you using with the gimbal, the gopro chesty? recommend the stuntman chest mount for use with a gimbal as its more substantial so provides a more stable mount. nice ride.
Managed to dig it out here: strava.app.link/NxjRSdu729 You should be able to download it as a GPX file, if not the following may work: dialledmag.com/mtb-gpx-files/?d=L2RhcmsgcGVhaw%3D%3D&m1dll_index_get=0 You want the kinder circuit gpx, ride number 13 Good luck!
@@KJRMTB That loop looked really good! Thanks for posting the link to these GPX maps, I'm in the process of working my way through the Dark Peak trails book and was trying to map them all myself... These maps will save me some time!
Hi mate, do you use SPD or flats for your rides? I’ve Just switched to see what the hypes about. I’m pretty impressed so far. Unsure how they’d do on a route like this... what’s your thoughts?
Joshua Gallagher I ride SPDs, I've ridden them for almost the whole time I've been riding and wouldn't go back! On this route and around the peak District in general they are fine, they will freeze over if you stand in the snow for too long though. I wouldn't go back to flats, maybe on a hardcore hardtail that's more like a bmx (I started on bmx)

Superb quality footage - cheers for this, I must get out this way soon.
Ian Radcliffe it's a brilliant loop, some tough climbs but the descents are brilliant! Glad you enjoyed :)
I need to work up to this trail. Nice video too! New subbie here :)
Nice to have you onboard! Channel hasn't stopped however routes are less frequent!
I do nearly every week it’s on my doorstep but usually the other way round
I've done it in reverse before, it's good either direction, lucky to have this on your doorstep!
Hi - great video - link to article and route is not working anymore?
Loving these vids. Any plans to do a beginners route in the peaks?

Proper good route 👍 props for doing Jacobs on a HT
Hi. Do you have a gpx or strava route pls
Great video. I have just moved to area and keen on mtbing. What trail would you recommend for a beginner to the peak district

@@KJRMTB sorry I meant new to riding in the peaks. I do a lot or blue and red trails in Wales.
Cheers again
@@matt1170 in that case then I'd say this loop is a perfect one! It is one of the classics, make sure you take enough water and food though!

nice ride.
MTB Scotland yes just the basic GoPro chesty, it handles most of it but it does get a bit loose from time to time! I'll look into that thanks!
KJR MTB makes a difference - got mine from amazon - about £30.
Hi Any idea how I can get the Gpx file for this ride? Following you on strava but cant find cheers

Do like the footage from the gimbals 👍

KJR MTB defo. not sure I can commit to the extra faffing involved lol. Think I’ll stick with bouncy footage for a while longer
