You never lost your feelings. You just got very good at suppressing them by deluding yourself into thinking that you don't have them. I should know. That's what I did almost my whole life. I recently stopped doing that after I realised since no one gives I damn about me I might as well stop pretending to be someone I'm not. In other words I'd rather be hated for who I really am than to be loved for pretending to be someone I'm not at all. I've been free and feeling very much better ever since.
