depends on the stock motor. the new production turbo optimizer made by gep and more of a p400 puts out just as well as a cummins and includes a 100k warentee. can get one allready created up and shipped to ya right from am general. (got one in my 01 wagon) best thing, it was made to be a bolt in replacement and your sticking to the true military am general design. the 4l80e can hang with an alison trans no problem, diffremce is i can buy one anywhere for dirt cheap as they where used on most late modle 1ton + chevy trucks and suvs. but the cummins and alison combo is still sweet, only reason it was used in 06 was an attempt to meet federal guide lines (no h1 was made in 05 and every 06 is an "alpha" cause they where shut down in late 04) but increased the cost to much, so only 250 or so where made and was not a hot seller at $200,000, and made it lose the nostalgia of owning a humvee as it had gone more civilian like.

do you guys upgrade to the thick shafts with the larger planitary gears? or is there a better aftermarket solution? what stock shaft was rated for 10k? i though the modernaztion package upgraded to 5k shafts? any advice would be gratefull. got to do ball joints and have one gear box with a leak so figured i could do a little upgrade while at it.

That is extremely faster over the stock engine. The stock engine takes about 26 second for 0-60mph
