Nail Gel Polish Removal Comparison - Acetone Soak vs. Le Mini Macaron Gel Removal Clips

I was curious about the difference between soaking my fingers in acetone for five (5) minutes verses using Le Mini Macaron Gel Removal Clips for fifteen (15) minutes.

Thank you for this comparison! I typically have a big bottle of acetone and soak off cotton+clips for regular glitter polishes, but I sometimes like using LMM. Buying individual wraps every time is both expensive and wasteful. The first time I tried them I didn't even find them very effective (but turns out I forgot to buff my nails beforehand :'))

Buffing before is definitely the key to easy removal.

I bought clips and tried them but I soaked a cotton ball with acetone and then put the clips on. Waited for a pretty good while not as long as cotton balls soaked and covered with tin foil. But with the clips my cotton ball dried up and made it worse because then I had to get the cotton off as well. I haven’t tried them again. With those pads are they glued into the inside or can you take it out and it’s like an alcohol wipe? Any tips? TIA

I used the square cotton pads too. They seemed to work. The ones that came with the clips is exactly like wipes but with acetone. They are not glued inside.

If you apply Vaseline around your nails before applying acetone it helps extreme dryness
