Wow! It works. 'A Forest' is one of those songs where the mood and atmosphere are the most vital elements. Faster and slower versions both work but I have to say the slower is more melodic (more noticeable when a track like this is slowed down).
This is one of the best songs for slowed+reverb ... Maybe .. the best
