Once you cross the VOR, and you are NW of the VOR on the 316 degree radial outbound, you can descend to MDA.. 316 degree radial (on top of CDI) Outbound with a FROM Indication on your CDI. DME will read anywhere from .1 to 6.5. That’s the Final Approach segment. Once you hit 6.5 DME from the VOR on the 316 you must go missed approach. If you get to the MDA only 3 DME from the VOR, no problem. Just continue to fly @ 3480 until you see the runway environment and can make a normal approach to landing. When you are in clear visual contact with the runway, eyes outside and use the PAPI to make your final descent to landing. Always be ready to fly the missed approach until you have actually landed.
